This is a Mexican deli with half a dozen booths. All were full while I was eating and everyone except me was Latino, and there was a constant stream of food being collected for take away. I've not been to Mexico but this seemed pretty authentic to me, with a menu that was in Spanish first and English second, and generous portions and very reasonable prices.
The staff were super friendly and the service efficient, backed up by a super soundtrack of everything from vintage Cumbia to techno. This was the ultimate antidote to plastic chain restaurants, with the only thing in common being Pancho Vila posters and black and white photos of men in big hats.

We ordered the steak fajitas and chicken enchiladas. The steak was extremely tough, flavorless and chewy. The onions/peppers were properly grilled and tasty. No chips and salsa were offered.
