This Popeyes is the worse. I came to pick up a door dash order on Sat and was told to call the customer from the cashier at the drive thru. Cashier indicated that they were cleaning the cooking oil so no orders were avail and to please ask the customer to cancel the order out so it can stop coming back to the store. I came today to place a personal order and dining area was closed around 10:40 the hours on the door says 11pm. I asked for the sweet heat sauce I believe it was they were out of stock. I asked for a strawberry lemonade they were out of stock for strawberry. I am well aware companies run out of items which is no problem. Where my problem is dining room closed early, I specifically asked for my fries to be fried fresh and if that was not possible I would not place my order. The guy told me I would have to wait ten min for fresh fries also indicated the fries that was currently avail he made ten min ago. I informed him I would still like my fries fresh I do not want the ones sitting. I was then told the fries came out 7 min ago and then told they were made 4 min ago when I asked once more for them to please be made fresh. I then received my food to have fries that were cooked twice and tasting stale. At this point this location is not trustworthy and there is a complete lack of culture amongst the business. Doors should not have been locked 20 min before they actually should have. There’s no stock and then having to cancel a door dash order because cooking oil is being cleaned during business hours is unacceptable. Previously there have been other orders canceled out as well because they have ran out of product before closing. There’s too much lackadaisical and complacent behavior amongst the staff and management at this location. I really hope the district manager & the regional manager can be coached to re train their staff properly on running...
Read moreWe visited Popeyes in Stamford, CT this past Sunday and we’re not thrilled with the level of service we received.
First, we tried calling 15 minutes prior to our arrival to place an order and mitigate the need to wait... but no one picked-up the phone during a roughly 2-minute period of time. We tried again a few minutes later, but had no better luck. While it’s possible we missed a rush, the volume of people inside the restaurant and in the drive-through when we got there didn’t justify their inability to pick up the phone.
The young gentleman who took my order remarked he was surprised “people spend so much money on chicken”, which is (I guess) part of a new trend known as ‘down-selling’.
During the “four minute” wait for part of the order (actual wait time = 12-13 minutes), a woman came in distressed, noting she had forgotten her phone earlier while filling up her sodas. The cashier who had taken my order, nor the colleague beside him, showed much care to the fact and put minimal effort in helping her. Someone who I assume was the supervisor came out and spent what time she could trying to help her find it, but to no avail. The woman found her phone after a few more minutes of searching in another part of the restaurant and stopped by the cash registers to happily announce the fact. The cashiers either forgot her in that time or (again) didn’t care, as there was little reaction from them.
While the food itself wasn’t bad, the fact that I paid for a 5-piece Blackened Tenders and only received 3 pieces didn’t improve upon my impression from my first and undoubtedly last visit to this establishment. Thankfully, there were enough tenders leftover from the Family Meal that I found myself satiated (but far...
Read moreThe worst restaurant in the county. I waited for my order at drive through for 35 minutes. I was asked to park in front of the drive through and wait for 5-6 minutes, and expect order to be taken out to my car. When i walked back to a drive through window 30 minutes later, my bag was on the floor behind the counter in a pile of empty boxes, receipts and some other garbage. The drink was spilled and sticky. This is my 3rd time having issues with this location. Once, i ordered food to be delivered by doordash, they claimed to my driver that the order was picked up by someone else. They declined to remake the order. So both - driver and I lost time contacting support team to refund the order.
I don’t even want to go into bigger details about employees not being professional, not speaking english, not wearing gloves when cooking, having dirty tables and many many other problems.
If the owners/managers are reading this, i highly suggest you to look into things. Because one day, I will come back feeling like i want to sue this store. And it will go my way without a doubt. Fire stuff, train new ppl who are willing to work fair and be nice.
Bye Popeyes! Will get back to you only if I am going to feel like I want to...
