WORTH EVERY PENNY — A FATHER’S DAY WE’LL NEVER FORGET
Is it a bit pricier than a typical family night out? Sure. But will you find this level of care, joy, excellence, and hospitality anywhere else? I seriously doubt it.
From the moment we walked in, my family of four was treated not like customers, but like special guests. You could feel the love in the way the staff moved, smiled, and served—not from obligation, but from genuine joy and pride in their work. This was far more than a meal—it was an experience. **I recommend sitting outside if you can—it made everything even more beautiful.
Now, I want to give a personal shoutout to some of the amazing individuals who made our dinner one of the most memorable evenings our family has had in a long time.
Ronny, your leadership was clearly stamped all over the experience. Despite it being an incredibly busy night, your team moved with calm, purpose, and happiness. You even came to our table after hearing us rave about the service—we were genuinely excited to share how well your team performed. You were responsive, personable, respectful, and highly professional. You created a welcoming, efficient, and joyful atmosphere from the moment we walked in. Bravo!
Leiny, you are a GEM. We had the absolute privilege of having you as our main server, in a packed room, you made us feel like we were the only people in the restaurant. You were attentive, patient, and somehow knew exactly what to recommend. You are excellent. Your service was genuine. You created a safe, warm space for us to enjoy ourselves, and you checked in just the right amount—never pushy, always kind. You are truly a breath of fresh air. Thank you for your grace and care!
What can I say about Jose? Your joy and energy were contagious! You approached each table with positivity and purpose. From helping without hesitation to recommending dishes with confidence, you were always a step ahead. You even cleared a massive 11-person table like it was nothing. That moment said it all. Jose, you're reliable, thoughtful, and intentional. You don’t serve because you have to—you serve because you care. Thank you for being a light.
Flavio, even if you were just “serving cheese,” you brought SO much more to the table. You brought joy, kindness, empathy, and that rare ability to read the room. You knew when someone needed a smile, a refill, or just a quick check-in. You made our family and the families around us feel truly at home. Thank you for your heart and your attentiveness. We see you—and we’re grateful for you!
Amin, your service was respectful, joyful, and deeply welcoming. As a Spanish-speaking family, we felt immediately at ease when you spoke with us in our own language. It made a big difference—you created a space of warmth and hospitality. You didn’t just serve food; you served with compassion and love. Your joy, your questions, your care—they all added up to something unforgettable. Keep sharing that beautiful spirit!
Jonas was the first person to serve our table, and WOW did he set the tone. He brought out a sizzling garlic steak that was absolutely unreal—it melted in our mouths. From that very first dish, we knew the night was going to be special. Jonas, you answered our questions, moved with purpose, and delivered excellence. You are a true professional. Keep showing up with that passion—you are making a difference.
To the front desk team: THANK YOU. You were gracious, calm, respectful, and kind—even with a packed room and what must have been hundreds of guests. You handled everything with poise and patience. You made everyone feel seen and valued. You’re the heartbeat at the door, and we appreciated you more than you know.
To the entire team: You made a real impact on our family. This wasn’t just a meal. This was a memory, a celebration, and a reminder of how beautiful excellent service can be when done with heart. You didn’t just “do your jobs”—you made us feel loved.
Count on my family and me returning—God willing! We are so grateful for everything you do. You...

Believe the hype, this place is great! Atmosphere is elevated & celebratory without being fussy and unapproachable, definitely comfortable for families with kids. I was new to the Brazilian steakhouse style, but staff explained clearly and were quick to help us out whenever we got that blank look on our faces. Actually the staff were the stars, very genuine, helpful, friendly, and attentive. You might worry about being overlooked or forgotten in a table side service + buffet hybrid situation like this, but that was 100% not the case. Everyone (server, manager, bussers, and the guys who served the meat) took ownership of making sure we were enjoying ourselves, and we were asked several times if there was anything we wanted more of or wanted to try, so there is no risk of FOMO.
I think the value is quite good. Pao de queijo, mashed potatoes, and caramelized plantains are brought to the table. Salad bar has antipasto, 5-6 different green salads, plus pasta/potato/chicken salad, fresh fruit, charcuterie, cheeses, and grilled/roasted veg like carrots, squash, and asparagus. There are also hot carafes with rice and beans. You can also get accoutrements for your meats, like different sauces. I think I also saw shrimp ceviche/cocktail? Okay, but the meats were also the stars, piping hot, well-seasoned, tons of variety, and they came fast and furious! Everything sounded so good I probably ate more than I should have. The pork sausages, OMG. Parmasean pork loin, bacon wrapped filet mignon, the ribeye, and the picanha. 👌👌👌 I usually cut the fat off my steak, but you can't do that here, it is rendered perfectly and is so crispy, and juicy, and salty, you will want to eat the fat.
We didn't get any wine, but the list was extensive. Good variety on the cocktail list also and the prices were standard for the area. I liked that there were familiar options with a Brazilian twist, e.g. I got a campari spritz but with guava which was very nice.
I had a really nice time and I hope this place enjoys a lot of success in Stamford, because they are...
Read moreI’ve been to the new Stamford location about 4-6 times in the past few months. Me and my boyfriend love Brazilian steak house meals and that is why we come back also because it’s closer to us than Fogo de Chao in white plains. It is the only reason, convenience and gas fare. To be honest I prefer Fogo de chao hands down!! The taste of their meats are far better: the moist levels, the seasoning of their meat is cooked very well! Terra guacha being the new kids on the block could learn to up the quality of their meats… on several occasions I had to spit my food out because the meat was dull, bland had no taste and the texture was off. One time the meat tasted like charcoal or some sort of chemical…… it tasted real bad. I try my best to enjoy my meal but I don’t leave complete satisfied. We have given terra gaucha opportunities to truly amaze us but they’ve got to improve. From the quality of their meat, the drinks having little to no alcohol in them and the customer service at the hostess desk. when it comes to the hostesses and seating people. We are both tall and common sense would be to place us somewhere not cramped next to other people’s tables for our legs. The hostesses some are just not as enthusiastic to be at work or as excited as they could be. We are the customers and if you don’t truly like your job we see it!!! As far as the actual bell boys, the meat servers and managers that walk around all exude outstanding & friendly service….a bit too much actually!! The constant check-ups as we are eating to ask “if everything is alright. Can I get you anything else?” Is a bit too much when your stuffing your face with food. They also have ignored our red signals to stop offering quite a few times …… all in all Terra Guacha is just...
