I placed an order via Grubhub, and as I was about to edit my payment method, my finger slipped and I placed the order with the wrong payment method. Grubhub's policy stated I had 5 minutes to edit the order, including payment method, and I immediately went to fix the payment method. I received my confirmation at 5:25, and when I hit submit on the corrected payment method at 5:27, it was denied and I was told it was because DP Dough had confirmed the order. I contacted Grubhub immediately, and DP Dough refused to allow us to do anything to fix it. They would not allow us to edit the order, I asked if I could cancel the order and place the same order again with the correct payment method meaning that they wouldn't lose anything, the food would still be sold, just with the correct payment method, and was told no. I had a Grubhub rep, and a Grubhub manager call, and the requests to fix it were denied. DP Dough didn't honor the policy of the Grubhub website, and then wouldn't budge on a simple correction to fix the issue and keep a customer happy. Instead, they dug in their heels, denied a simple request to fix the situation, and were not at all being reasonable. Grubhub ended up giving us a refund on the meal due to DP Dough staff being unwilling to help fix a mistake. While the food itself is usually good, sometimes better than others, I can't spend money at a restaurant who cares so little of their customers....
Read moreNot the best but not the worst place I've ever been. Certainly more centered around the students and it shows. Staff wasn't the friendliest but they again, weren't the worst. It was a get your food ordered and move on type of thing. We had two different Calzones and the garlic sticks. Everything was okay, just sticks of dough with some buttery type sauce on top. I didn't taste any garlic which was disappointing. The Calzones were decent, as in size and filling. Honestly to me though, everything lacked flavor. I added parmesan and pepper flakes to the sauce you get for dipping and dipped everything in it, which helped soooo much and made it actually decent. Would I go back, maybe, would I go back if I have to fight to get in when the students are there, not a chance. It's a place you go to check it out just because, not something you just have to have and crave. It's a budget friendly option and late night run. I can see it being a hit for kids just because location counts and that sort of thing, but meh, if I can drive some where, I'll go where it tastes better. Overall, I say try it if you have a chance or nothing better you are craving, but it's nothing...
Read moreOrdered food through a delivery service and it never got to us. We called DP dough after an hour to check on the order and a rep said that our order was on the way. Called again after another hour and another rep picks up saying that they can't do anything since its through the delivery service, but I don't understand why another rep said it was already on the way and why they didn't even try to call us to let us know that our order wasn't picked up. Both the reps were very rude to us, the first one was a male, the second was a female. No communication between the two about an order that has been sitting there for two hours either. They should at least call customers when an order is not picked up. If they're not going to do anything about problems that occur when using a delivery service, especially when the problem is caused by their own miscommunication, they shouldn't employ a delivery service in the first place. It's extremely frustrating and frankly shows how little they care about the people who are doing business with them. They'd rather be rude and lose money and...
