Cafe Alina is a hidden gem that brings the true essence of authentic Indian cuisine to life. From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with warm, inviting decor and a distinct aroma of freshly prepared spices that instantly transports you to India. The menu is an impressive showcase of traditional dishes, each crafted with a perfect blend of flavors and spices. Whether it’s the tender, marinated tandoori meats or the rich, creamy curries, every dish is made with the highest quality ingredients. The attention to detail in both presentation and taste reflects a deep understanding of Indian culinary traditions, making each bite an absolute delight.

What truly sets Cafe Alina apart, however, is the exceptional service. The staff here are not only kind and attentive but are also incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and happy to guide you through the offerings. Their genuine passion for the food they serve is evident in every interaction, making the dining experience feel personal and memorable. With such a dedicated team and exceptional food, this restaurant is deserving of recognition on a much larger scale. It's the type of place that should be open in every city, allowing more people to experience the depth of authentic Indian cuisine and the warmth of its...

If you're looking for truly authentic Pakistani and Indian cuisine in State College, Cafe Aline is the place to be. This locally loved restaurant is owned and run by Mr. Asim, a true maestro chef whose passion for cooking is evident in every dish he serves. Mr. Asim brings the rich, vibrant flavors of South Asia to life with remarkable skill and dedication. His commitment to authenticity and quality is unmatche, from the carefully balanced spices to the warm, comforting presentation of each plate. Every dish is prepared using zabiha halal ingredients, honoring tradition and providing peace of mind to those who care about how their food is sourced. Whether you're indulging in a fragrant biryani, savoring a creamy curry, or simply enjoying a hot cup of chai, you'll immediately notice the depth of flavor and heart that goes into the food. Cafe Aline isn’t just a restaurant — it’s an experience, built on culture, care, and culinary mastery. A huge thank you to Mr. Asim for bringing such an authentic and soul-satisfying dining experience to State College. Highly recommended for anyone who appreciates genuine South Asian cuisine!

Depending on what you order, the taste of what you eat is hit or miss (biryani is good and as are the samosas. The chargha is bland, as were the chicken rolls—perhaps why they took them off the menu). What IS consistent, however, are the exceedingly high prices they charge. There is no reason that one small container of biryani should cost $14, same for their karahi. Two (2) kabobs for $7, are you serious? I was excited for the opening of a Pakistani restaurant, but disappointed to find that they took advantage of their customer base. Just because there aren’t many other Pakistani restaurants around, or you believe that people will buy your food anyway, does not mean you should trade away the integrity of your business for more money. I’ve never seen such high prices in an average desi restaurant—it would make sense if it costed more if there were combo meals, or more quantity of whatever was being sold. As of now, though, the food is certainly not worth the cost. I’ve spoken to several other families about it and they agree that if prices were more reasonable, they would frequent the store more often, if at all. Hope you take this criticism seriously and sell your food at a less...

My wife and I had a wonderful experience here our first time. The family that owns and works here are super kind and accommodating. We ordered chicken tikka, lamb kabob, samosas, garlic naan, and the masala chai tea. Everything was fantastic and we had to order more tea because it was exquisite. The place was empty when we arrived to start our study date but within a short time it filled up with a large table of students from the university and several other groups. As a former chef and high volume restaurant worker I was impressed with how well they handled it together and I heard no complaints from their patrons. We would recommend this spot to anyone who loves the authentic cuisine and is looking for a cozy cafe with a homey feel. It was everything we were hoping to find and more. Please try them out!

This was my first time having Pakistani food and it was phenomenal. I am always grateful when people understand and are able to meet.my dietary restrictions. There wasn't a wide variety here that met that, but the food available was delicious. I ordered an appetizer that was filling enough for a meal. The real star of my experience was the chai tea. This is not at all like what most people are familiar with - it was prepared fresh, from scratch, which is about a 15 minute process. It was another 15 minutes before it was cool enough to drink. And it was well worth the wait. It was only mildly sweet with a rich flavor - authentic chai is such a great compared to the mass produced ones that are more commonly served.
