Lychee Chinese Restaurant — Restaurant in State College

This is a reliable and delicious Chinese delivery restaurant. They have such a huge selection on their menu for all kinds of tastes. I would say their General Tso's is the best in State College, but they also have delicious Beef + Broccoli plates. Oh, and you have to try the fried dumplings. So great! Vegetarians should also find plenty of choices with their plentiful vegetable dishes. They can substitute tofu for most plates f you want some protein.

I've never waited more than 45 minutes for delivery. Usually it's 25-30 minutes. Restaurant staff is friendly and helpful, and they make great meals for a good value price. This isn't 5-star cuisine, but it's as good as you can get for $10. Everything is always hot and fresh upon delivery. I've never been disappointed with Lychee, and I've ordered from them once a week consistently for the past year. I'm glad to give them my business, since they deliver such good food at good prices...

Google listed this restaurant as having a dine-in option, it does not. Ordered 2 entrees to go and found the experience to be disappointing. Chicken and string beans had good flavor but I ordered it spicy and there was no heat at all. Portion was very small, what I'd expect for a lunch portion but not sufficient for dinner- especially for the price. Also ordered beef & mushrooms and while the flavor was good, the portion was also small and didn't have much beef. This entree was also ordered spicy and was not spicy at all. Enteees came with egg rolls and those were not good, they tasted bland and strange and were "missing something"- and they didn't come with any sweet & sour sauce. Ordered a bag of crispy chow mein noodles and for almost $1 I got a laughably TINY bag with horribly stale inedible noodles. There are only about 1000 Asian restaurants in State College so I definitely wouldn't choose to order from...

I would say lychee is the best delivery in state college. There food is consistent, its always hot when it gets to me, and the longest it's ever taken was about 1 hour in fifteen minutes (on a cold Sunday night during a snow storm, totally understandable). Chicken is of a better quality than many other places in State College, always go for the white meat, its worth the extra buck. Also, the man answering the phone is always very polite and helpful, its hard to find decent and consistent customer service in state college. If your looking for delivery, this is easily your best bet, I've tried them all. And lychee, is the only one who offers a quality and consistent product. Price?
