Ocean Galley Seafood — Restaurant in Statesboro

Took the wife out for dinner for her birthday, she wanted seafood; and when does only Ocean Galley will do. First off the menu was slightly out dated, there was items listed on my menu that wasn’t on the wife’s. She ordered jumbo shrimp platter with a fillet of catfish ala cart. But ended up being served a combo platter instead, I wanted the big Easy that was on my menu but was told they don’t serve it anymore. Then I asked about the steamed platter with Alaskan crab legs, and get told they don’t serve crab anymore. What kinda seafood joint doesn’t serve crab? Then I asked about my ole favorite the shrimp n grits; was it a big bowel. Not some lil bowel like last time I came. And the young lady said it was a big bowel it’s the same bowel they serve salad in. To me those are not big. I ended up trying the prime rib rare with a helping of scallops alacart and asked if they could grilled or roasted instead of deep fried; she said they could broil them. Don’t get me wrong I love deep fried food. But I wasn’t in the mood for it. The prime rib was ok, a little dry if you was to ask. And I’m not sure what the scallops were broiled but it didn’t taste like butter. More so like broth of some sorts… All in all as long as the wife was happy I guess...

Let me start by saying I don't have time to send my food back if it's wrong I either cancel or ask for an adjustment to reflect what I actually received! Tonight I didn't have time to sit because I'm working so I placed a (To-Go) ordered for the fried Trio Dinner "Whole catfish, Flounder and Scallops" with 2 side's "Corn on the cob, Coleslaw with Hush puppies (2)" & I ordered a extra order of hush puppy because I wanted more than (2)! Whoever was cooking tonight was not on their game it was not crowded at all but I received Shrimp instead of Scallops. The waitress had to remind him that I ordered a extra hush puppy and then she had to tell him that it should come with 5 not 2! I finally got to my destination sat down to eat only to find out the Flonder is Tilapia which I don't eat 🤢🤮& the hush puppies are hard and old😡 I paid $21.×× Thanks for ruining my Dinner tonight & my lunch for tomorrow... Very Disappointed customer.

• Update 1/22/19* after seeing my review the management of this establishment added a comment offering me a replacement dinner & to come back but when I went in to get it they didn't honor their own offer and when I tried to pull it up to show them I saw that their offer had been...

Got the frog legs platter and my girlfriend got the pasta. Our waiter had us waiting for more than an hour for out food. People who came in at the same time as us and long after us got their food way before we did. Our waiter said that she was at fault and said that she made the mistake of putting my girlfriends food on the wrong ticket or something and brought my food out before hers. Like who wants to eat in front of their significant other while they have nothing to eat, so i tell her to take ny food back and ask her to bring it back when my girlfriends food is ready. Then I asked for another serving of crayfish and explicitly say to bring it out the same them my girlfriend gets her food but no she brings it out 20 minutes before my girlfriends pasta. So I have cold crayfish. Then her food is brought out I start to eat and the batter on my froglegs isn't even staying on and she ask if I want to get something else. So you want me to wait another hour plus just so you can you bring back a replacement dish? And she had the audacity to be sour when i didn't tip her service I ever had. If I could remember the severs name I would post it but I know it started with a T and she was a heavy set black women....
