The new Popeyes on Hwy 80 was a huge disappointment tonight. As a franchisee from Baton Rouge, LA, I was disappointed in management. I arrived to the location at 2123 and was told when giving the young lady my order that I couldn’t get spicy tenders. I requested the manager and the young lady was very polite and got him. The manager explained that they had turn the friers off and broke down the stations and that he couldn’t drop the tenders. I asked how when the closing time is 2200 and it was currently 2132 as I was talking to him at the window. He was still kind enough to have the team drop the tenders, even though he was aggravated. My concern is, if I didn’t explain to him that I was previously a franchise owner in Louisiana and know the protocols, would I have my food? How many costumers have they previously did this to? Why would you turn off the friers at 2126 or earlier knowing the establishment doesn’t close until 2200? This needs to be addressed and I will be following up with corporate because either the owner knows about this like the young manager said or the owner does not know. The restaurant was clean, they were nice, but the lies and lack of professionalism when handling operations...
Read moreThe new Popeye's on Northside Drive is not great. It's very lacking in all areas. The service was not great. The young lady at the window didn't greet us just said our total. We had to initiate the pleasantries. The woman who packed our food did not get my order correct. We weren't offered any condiments either. The chicken sandwich was mediocre at best. The biscuit was cold and my sandwich was not fresh. I had to go back in to get a honey packet. I had to stand there for several minutes before someone came around the corner and asked what I wanted. I asked for a honey packet and the lady handed it to me and didn't say have a good night or anything. But the gentleman behind me received a very warm welcome with excitement and enthusiasm. I would say it deserves a 0.5 but that's not an option. Will not be going...
Read moreEmployees are friendly and prompt. But the food has a lot to be desired. Both my husband's and my chicken was not only raw, but the outside was so hard our dog wouldn't even eat it. My husband had beans and rice. We couldn't even find the beans. There was a little juice on the rice and that was it. My coleslaw tasted like it had been made for days. Don't shut down the cookers and serve headlamp chicken at 7:30 in the evening. Don't skimp on the beans to make them stretch till closing time. And make the coleslaw fresh at least once a day. Long story short... Very disappointed. Good customer service is not the only thing that makes a restaurant worth eating at. FOOD is what you go for, not just a smile. WILL NOT be going back. Besides, will also tell my friends and family. Don't...
