Harbor Freight — Local services in Statesboro

Only issue I've had is the small Portable 3 Gallon McGraw Air Compressor's. The Drain Valves are on the side at a strange angle and opening the Valve as the manual states to do occasionally to release condensation and water that accumulates in the tank does nothing but release air. The water and condensation does not come out . Even turning the Compressor on it's side. After 2 of these air compressors completely burning up on me with little use prematurely. I found out by investigating on my own that you have to remove the whole drain plug housing and shake the compressor vigorously for about 30 minutes on it's side because of the poor location of the drain plug. It should be on the bottom of the tank where the water settles with taller foot legs to accommodate the drain plug. As well the drain plug design should be larger in size as far as the opening goes. * I'm on my 3rd McGraw 3 Gallon Compressor now because I now know on my own ( not from the manual ) that you have to do as I mentioned above to drain the tank to prevent moisture and rust build up in the tank to prevent the compressor from burning up the motor. I only use these to add air occasionally to 2 personal vehicle tires if they are ever low just a few pounds (psi) and to pump up a kids bicycle tire. I've been in automotive mechanics and body work all my life previous to retirement therefore I know how a compressor should work. Due to this issue I've had to purchase 3 of these compressors when I should have only had to purchase and still be using...

Based on the experience I had literally as soon as I walked in the door from the cashier I WILL NEVER PURCHASE ANYTHING from ANY Harbor Freight ever. I had heard great things about it, this was my first (and now last) experience. She was rude and straight up ugly towards me, my son, and my father in law as soon as we walked in the door saying “we are closing soon, I should have locked the door. You need to leave.” I came in for the specific purpose to purchase some lighting. Knew exactly what I wanted and ready to give money. I know the one individual isn’t the whole company/store but unfortunately REPRESENTS the name on her shirt and employer so in that represents Harbor Freight. If that’s acceptable customer service from training and onboarding. I’ll gladly give my money...

Today (Aug 2020) - I needed to buy a large ticket item (at least for me it was) but I live 40 miles from the store. So I called to confirm that it was instock rather than risk a fruitles trip. The staff was amazing. They set aside the product and put my name on it for an hour so that I would have time to get there. Once there, they helped me with questions about the assessories tha tI would need with the item and helped me make sure that I got all of the coupon discounts that I was elgible for. Thank you HF store for great prices and thank you manager, and staff for great service.
