Decided to post because the commercials are misleading. This was our experience which may be diff from others. The eye exam was positive with a decent price. Did not expect the eye doctor to be on a tv screen (online doctor) but it was fine. After exam we waited for a bit, no bother at all. Husband and I wanted to do the special that was advertised. The deal is only good per person, you canāt buy 2 pairs of glasses for 2 people. That was fine. The frames start at $100 and up, Walmart starts at $40. After frames, progressive lens, anti scratch (works), 2 pairs(wanted the ādealā) we paid $900 mine, $1200 hubby. Over $2000 includes eye exams. The wait would be 2 wks. Came in Fri afternoon and called 10am Monday to cancel. Told she was busy, 1pm came, no call back. Drove to store, same manager I spoke to on phone with no call back was with customer and told me she was busy she will get to me when she can. No problem, left to Walmart to kill time and purchase glasses from them. From $900 to $280(much better) and the ladies at Walmart were so nice to me, very thankful. Figured if I get back to Stanton 2 hrs before closing, the manager would eventually have to talk to me. She asked me to take seat, then she went to the back, then came back and motioned for me to follow her. She took me to the employee break room and shut the door behind me. I was scared. She told me the glasses were already made and mentioned a discount. I think she took me back there because she is used to people acting out in front of other customers. I walked with God and in no way would I want to disappoint God by bad behavior. I understand the manager works hard for her money although sad that she has to resort to dishonest tactics to keep the money for that store. Calmly continued to reassure her of the preferred refund I had asked for since 10am that morning, it finally was granted. She said all she asked for was a good review, hence how others have given good reviews. She also said when the glasses come in ācause they were already madeā less than 48hrs from time we placed order, she said she would call to see if we would still was them at almost half off. The call never came ābecause they were never madeā Walmart is the way to go if you like saving money total for hubby and I with 2 prescription sunglasses and 2 regular progressive, anti scratch $1100 but that was everything including insurance versus $2000 at Stanton. Honesty...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDO NOT GO HERE FOR AN EYE EXAM!! I shouldāve known that things would go wrong when I called to schedule an appointment and he told me they could get me in that evening at 6:30, I showed up and they tell me they donāt even take appointments after 6. I should have just left then and not rescheduled. I made the mistake of rescheduling for 9:30 the next morning. I get there that morning and the store manager that is checking me in is continuously on her phone. I finally get into my appointment and the telehealth optometrist did not ask me any questions and would not listen to me. I told her that I was unable to see through any of the lenses she was trying and she told me to close my eyes, blink a few times, then try again. Once the appointment was over and I was given my prescription, it was COMPLETELY different than my previous prescription which was still working for me but was expired and I needed a renewed prescription to order more contacts. They did not ask me what my current prescription was until AFTER I told them that the new prescription they gave me was not working. The store manager told me to give it a try and continued to try to get me to buy contacts in that prescription and said that āI could just exchange them if they change the prescription within 30 days as long as the boxes arenāt open.ā Her other suggestion was for me to switch which eyes I put the contacts in, which was ridiculous seeing as they were drastically different prescriptions in each eye. When I called customer service for a refund after this terrible āeye-examā, if you can even call it that, they refused and said that eye exams are non-refundable but that they could offer me a āfree recheck.ā After the terrible service and eye-exam I received the first time, I absolutely did not want to get a āfree recheckā after getting the completely wrong prescription the first time and find it ridiculous that no one is āauthorizedā to give me a refund when they have given me this terrible service and I now have to pay a different eye doctor to give me the correct...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have worn glasses since I was 10 years old and I have never had a worse experience. I scheduled an appointment and told them what my insurance was. When I went to the appointment I was told I was not in network and my insurance would still cover OON. So I went ahead and did the exam and when it came time to pick out glasses, I was telling the girls that work there that I had about $2000 left in my health spending account. So she assured me that I would be reimbursed for whatever purchases I made. This was my first experience with an HSA account so I wasnāt 100% sure. But I took her advice and got three pairs of glasses. One was a prescription sunglasses and the other two were regular glasses. The girl gave me the information to get reimbursed. I spent almost $1000 that day. Whenever I submitted for my reimbursement I only received back just over $100. So that was a complete lie. Not complain then, I just figured the girl was young and did not have a clue what she was talking about. That was in December. Fast forward to April of this year and my glasses broke. It is one of the pairs that are heavy and I donāt wear very often. But the arm broke So I took them in. I had to pay a $30 fee to have them replaced. Mind you there was nothing wrong with the lenses only the arm on the side of the glass broke. I paid the $30 and she fixed them there. Whenever I wore them, I realized the lens was melted in the middle. Tried to return them today to have them repaired and they said thereās nothing they can do, I have to pay another $30 or 20% of the cost of the lenses. This is a horrible experience from the beginning. I will not be returning to my eye lab. I feel swindled. From paying almost $1000 for three pairs of generic glasses, nothing brand name or fancy to the girl who broke my glasses worse than they already were, due today whenever I was basically told I was SOL on getting my glasses fixed unless I pay MORE money. I donāt think so. Iāll use the ones I have and tell everyone I know to not visit this place or be...
