Slim Chickens — Restaurant in Statesboro

This was my first time eating at Slim Chickens and I give the food between a 1-10, a big 10. The tenders tasted delicious ànd were juicy and tender. The homemade fries were also good and well seasoned, but not over seasoned like some places do their homemade fries. The Texas toast was also good; you can definitely taste the garlic butter when u bite into it. When it comes to your drink, they put your name on it, which minimizes your drink going to someone else #I like that. I ordered a chocolate milkshake and hands down it was so good. As you can see from the pic I posted they give u a large straw to use, which makes it so easy to drink your milkshake, unlike every other place I frequent, I receive a small straw that I have to deep throat just to barely get my milkshake to pass through to drink it. The drive thru was long, but they moved the line very quickly. Overall, great spot! Update: Did a mobile pick up order, when I got home with my food I noticed bbq sauce all over my fries, from my wings being placed on top of them, (last pic) I called the store and let them know, they easily said they will replace my meal if I came back to the store. I didn't want to since, I was home and I live far out, so they put my name in a book that they list people names to replace orders and all u do when u do go back to the store is say your name is in the book and they will replace your order with no problems. FYI if you get a big order, ask for the fries to be on the side, bc they do place the entire order in one box. Employees were very nice and informative on how they package certain orders....

Just a few years ago Statesboro had Chick-fil-A, Zaxby's and Popeyes as the most popular Chicken restaurants. Did we really need anything else? Who would look at the landscape and think "Statesboro could use more Chicken places!". Well I have been wrong before. I was trying to think of one word that describes the food here. That word is "Intense". I have eaten here three times now. The food is always well seasoned. Try the different sauces, intense flavors. Try dipping your fries in the garlic Parmesan sauce, intense. Just the chicken strips themselves are so savory. These chicken strips are definitely different from any other chicken in town. There is a very unique flavor to them. The Cayenne Chicken sandwich is ridiculously good. The flavor is driven by the fried slab of chicken. It has pickles and fried onions on it. It is so good. The Slim's Salad maybe my new favorite salad. We get this salad with the cayenne ranch sauce. So good! This is a very large salad to. Worth every penny. Every time we come here the service has been excellent.(Take notes McDonald's) I wish I could meet the owner. I would ask him what he was thinking bringing another chicken place to Statesboro! We are very grateful...

My family I had this restaurant marked & starred in our social media "shared" folder "Restaurants to try" . We drove to the closet franchise which was about an hour and 15 minutes away. We visited our favorite pizza, cookie & ice cream places as well.

My family and I previewed the menu prior to arriving. We all ordered the 5 and 5 meal we did plain tenders & different flavored wings. I ordered lemon pepper wings and my combo drink was an Arnold Palmer.

The tenders were 10 out it 10 & I would rate them better than RAISING Cane's as well as better than Zaxbys. The tenders were the only edible items I could eat from my $17.00 meal.

My wings did not have 1 crumb of dry rub lemon pepper seasoning, my wings were were plain non seasoned wings. My wings & fries were garnished with chicken feathers. ( A non requested garnish ) My fries were soft & cold. My taost was burnt . The Slim Sauce was good . I received a lemonade or water ( what I received) we had to go back and get my tea to make my Arnold Palmer which was horrible.

Do Better please you never know if someone is a local or a visitor not from the area.
