Dined here on June 30, 2022, arriving about 445pm -- Having dined at other Coaches locations in Mt. Airy, Wilkesboro and Winston-Salem, thought we'd try Statesville's location, since we were passing through town. Restaurant was staffed with 1 bartender, 2 waitresses. We were seated quickly at a table. Food order taken within a couple of minutes. But it took about 20-25 minutes for hot chips to arrive, since chef was slicing fresh cut ones and frying. Salads arrived about 5-6 minutes after chips. Waitress was really friendly and helpful, but was overwhelmed with customers as more folks arrived. We had to ask for drink refills. Salads were not as good as at other Coaches restaurants. BIGGEST ISSUE -- was broken men's restroom! Admittedly, restrooms are tough to monitor for any business used by the public. But the urinal was out of order, blocked by two plastic milk crates and a sign posted on urinal handle. Stench and odor was pretty bad. Only one toilet to use as the alternative. No recent attempt to clean the entire bathroom for possibly the entire day. Dirty floor, almost empty toilet paper, sink area needed cleaning and sanitizing. Toilet area was really bad. Odor coming from broken urinal was almost sickening. Staff could have wrapped a large trash bag around urinal, at least, and sprayed lots of disinfectant or deodorizer to reduce smell until repairs made! SECOND BIGGEST ISSUE -- was defective main entrance door to restaurant. Hinges were broken or door off balance so that it would not close, leaving a 3-4 inch gap opening, allowing flies and LOTS of hot air to keep blowing into the dining area. It was a hot afternoon and the hot breeze blowing into dining room from around broken front door made it tough for the air conditioner to cool the public dining area. OVERALL -- Good food, good service, fair price for food. But this location is definitely needs to pay more attention to routine maintenance of the building and needs much better sanitation practices. Broken and filthy restrooms do not make for a pleasant experience when dining out. Makes you wonder how clean the kitchen is?? Not sure what their sanitation rating was, as we didn't see the Health Department sign, but we definitely will have second thoughts about dining at this location again. We encourage the Coaches Corporate Office to make some changes here to improve cleanliness and make vital repairs as quickly as they...
Read moreService: So So, The service was slow, the waitress was on her game with upselling but she wasn't the friendliest. She took the time to go through the specials and tell us what was best when we told her we hadn't been there. Her manners at the table just not what we would expect for table service sit down restaurant. Food took almost 30 mins to recieve and it was only us and one other table on the restaurant. Seems most of what we asked for was unavailable. Cheese choices, boxes, chicken sandwiches, so forth all seem to be out of stock.
Restaurant: Clean, friendly feeling, music is a little louder then expected no way you could talk to others on your party without screaming. The decor was nice and really sat with the theme of the restaurant. Baseball bats hanging, helmets everywhere, sports games on the TV.
Food: We had a party of 6. Party #1 Philly Cheese Steak: good but very dry. The bread over loaded the meat. Party #2 All American Burger only Ketchup:. Well done burger burnt and hardly no ketchup. Unhappy child. Party #3: Triple Decker Club:. Delicious, Huge, had to take most home Party #4: Chicken Tenders:. Delicious Party #5: Hall of Fame Bacon Burger:. Bacon way too salty, not enough condiments to over power the bread and bacon. Good but def would not order again. They don't lie they pile it with Bacon. Party #6: Bacon Jallopeno Burger:. Burnt, under cooked... How do you burn a burger but keep it pink inside. The food could have been better. If it wasn't for all the adults being diabetics and low sugars we would've probably left and tried one of the other places. But we decided on this place because not many places are open in town to sit down and we...
Read moreThe worst dining out experienc ever without a doubt. After waiting an hour and 40 minutes to receive our food we only received food for four of the five people in our party. After another 20 minutes and having to go to the kitchen to question the waitress the fifth plate arrived. My 16yr old son ordered a hamburger with a side of mac n cheese which was $11.49. When his plate arrived it literally looked like a kiddie burger and kiddie size of mac n cheese. Other than the fifth plate the other four plates were COLD. My father ordered 10 boneless wings and only received 9 pieces on his order. The waitress never asked if we needed refills we had to flag her down to get refills for my son and my mother and me and my girlfriend were never asked if we needed refills. Very poor customer service and nothing but overpriced frozen foods. To the owners, I would be be ashamed to have my name associated with this location and what you offer your customers. We saw other tables having issues with their orders as well and saw several people get uo and walk out because they were receiving no service either.
Well, after Corporate responded to my review, I did send an email to the email address they advised when they replied to my review back on March 22nd. Today is March 28th, and guess what, no response to my email as of today. I guess the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. Apparently, neither the restaurant or Corporate care about...
