Papa Johns Pizza — Restaurant in Staunton

I have always been a Papa John's fan, unfortunately I will not be ordering from the one in Staunton Virginia again. I made my first order, it was two pizzas with a spicy garlic sauce. It stated 60-75 minutes. I understand business' are short so I was fine with the wait. After 110 minutes I reviewed where my order was and it stated delivered. I call this location. I was told they were dealing with a issue in the lobby and it would be 15 minutes. I waited another 30 minutes. I looked on line and there was a picture of my neighbors car with pizzas sitting on it. Keep in mind the car was on a public road, not a driveway. The time of the picture was 45 minutes prior.... It was cold outside.

One of the pizzas look like it was hacked/cut by a five year old and the extra sauce was missing.

I called again and I was told my account would be credited. Ok so they had a bad night and I'll try again.

3 nights later I called back to get the credit with the same order. I was asked when I was going to pick it up. I stated the last order was delivery and I was not planning on going out. I was told that was fine and it could be delivered. Again I waited. Two hours later I called back. I was told I had to pick it up. I explained that was not what I was told two hours ago. The man stated they did not have a driver. I ask him why he did not call to tell me this, he stated they were busy.

The pizza by this point had sat under a heat lamp for an hour and a half. I told them I was not going to pick it up. Complete disappointment, I guess I will need to get use to Pizza...

I order the works large pizza at the Staunton Papa Johns regularly but the last few times I was so aggravated , and today 10/9/20 is even worse. The last time I ordered the works large pizza I waited outside for approximately one hour and 15minutes so I went in the store and they said that I didn’t order anything , and but I’m so glad I had my cell phone for proof so I had to wait another 30 minutes for my order. Today 10/09/20 I ordered the works large pizza and was asked to wait a minute, well that minute turned into 30 minutes and then I called back and was asked if I could hold another minute which turned another short wait. The pizza is good but the waiting and being on hold for long periods of time is pathetic. I would not recommend this business for nothing . A little advice at least you could add an extra drink, peppers , garlic butter, etc. for people that’s waiting or on hold for a long...

Idk why the delivery experience can vary so much. I work late nights so when I’m in the mood to not cook and just want some delivery I’ll order from here. I’ve had times where the delivery driver is still at my house waiting on me to come home (which is a little awkward) other times they’ll send me a pic/text so I know. Rare occasions I’ll be home before the delivery… a simple knock or text is cool, got it. But tonight the just leaving it no warning I don’t favor. I just know from past experiences I may say 10pm delivery but it comes 15-20 min early (fine) but IF I’m home with no warning how long has this been sitting in the rain and cold that I COULD have gotten if I knew it arrived ya know? I don’t need my drivers to hover like a helicopter mom but at the same time a heads up it’s here would be...
