Great Wall — Restaurant in Staunton

That was the worst American/Chinese food I have had in a long time. I ordered three things. Beef Lomein 1 pint of it. WAY TOO MUCH OIL OR BUTTER. Tasted like butter (maybe butter substitute) in dish.. There was about a 1/4 inches of it It on bottom when I got there slowly almost no beef or anything else in lomain but old cabbage and a few carrot matchsticks. And if that wasn't bad enough, the other pint I ordered was the extra hot chicken with rice. Who told the cook to put almost an entire onion in there? Again, almost no chicken, and a few pieces of jullienned green pepper...Horrible... And the rice was obviously portioned ahead of time and kept warm and was all dried out...But guess what?! I ordered something else too. Egg drop soup. I know how to make it... It is very easy.. This however, had almost no flavor and very little egg, but so much starch that it was almost jelly when I opened it. Please talk to your chef and get this straightened out, I may come back to give the restaurant another shot because when I had been there before many years ago the food was very good! I don't know what happened. If the food is this bad again I will for sure never be eating there again... I hate giving bad reviews, but I also was very disappointed at the quality of food I recieved for the money I spent. Please fix...

For a while now, experiences at Great Wall have been very poor. But today, everything was at its absolute worst. We walked in and were told "sit down" by the guy at the desk. Once we picked a table, we were never served any drinks or silverware. After about 5 minutes of waiting we just got up and got food from the bar and sat back down to wait again. Once the waitress finally realized we existed, we were given drinks and eating utensils. Furthermore, the past few times we've eaten at this restaurant, the food has been terrible. The chicken is hard and dry, the food is old, and half of the bar is always empty. We heard several people complaining and asking the servers to bring out more food. Towards the end of our meal, we were brought a check by one guy. A few minutes later, we were brought a second check by the girl who failed to give us drinks in the first place. I don't know if these guys were sleep walking or what, but it's obvious they couldn't care less about their job or their customers. Not to mention, the floor was so dirty, and no one wants to have to look at the mess while eating. By the way, we went around dinner service and the price for 2 people was...

I'm from The Bronx, NY. The restaurant I go to in The Bronx, right around the corner is also named 'Great Wall (Place), 1533 Watson Ave, Bronx, NY. Two years ago, I told the woman behind the counter that I was leaving, moving to Virginia. Do you know what she told me? 'So, someone will take your place.' Every two weeks I would order $40 worth of food for myself.

This place 'Great Wall'...I can't tell the difference, it tastes the same. The only difference is the portions.

I always order the same thing... Pork Fried Rice & Chicken Combo. I just saw on their website that they also do a buffet Style Lunch & Dinner. I have to keep that in mind. I saw within the next 2, 3 days... The price for the buffet seems reasonable though for real.

What I like most of all, is the delivery service. Food arrives fast AND HOT!! I can deal with the smaller portions than I am use to. But when you have guest over and they say they are hungry... I don't bother asking what they want, I just place an order. I tell them, 'Let's eat, they delivered it hot, so let's...
