Pretty Eyes — Local services in Sterling Heights

Rupa was very unprofessional in changing my appointment that I made 2 weeks ago. After receiving very poor service 5 weeks ago, I decided that I was going to take my business elsewhere. I have went to Pretty Eyes on several occasions where my eye brows were threaded crooked, too much hair was missing on one eye and it was a total disappointment. Rupa fixed my eyebrows on the last visit. She insisted that I did a review there in the store and even asked for my phone where she pulled up their site and selected 5 stars herself and asked me to write the review. I did because I liked the work. So I made an appointment for the future date. Fast forward to today, the reason for this updated review. Rupa had the nerves to go into the system and change my appointment from 11:15 a.m. to 2p.m. without inquiring with me first! I called the store and asked what happened after receiving an text alert saying I changed the appointment. When I asked who did and why, I was informed that Rupa did because she had an appointment at 11a.m. for something else. This is so unprofessional! I made an appointment for 11:15a.m., how do you switch a paying customer's appointment to several hours later and think that it's fine. Ridiculous! Poor customer service to match poor work habits which leaves me to believe that overall this company is unreliable and unprofessional. Never will I visit this...

1 star, 0 if possible. The first thing that turned me off was the lady who greeted me at the desk did not speak fluid english. A younger woman had to step in and explain to me the prices and services offered. That's always awkward. Also note, I only went there because the Custom Eyes shop in the mall did not have a brow girl there. That is where I usually go and they are awesome! Anyway, they told me that they prefer to thread the eyebrows, and that it is their specialty, but they also offer waxing as well. I am used to brow waxing so i stuck with what I know. The girl was nice, but she did a TERRIBLE job on my brows. To say it looks like i did it myself would be an insult to me, so i won't. She did it in 1 minute...seriosuly. No calming lotion, no witch hazel, no razor finish. Just a horrible wax and snatch. I did not want to hurt her feelings and tell her she waxes as though she is blind, but I am telling yall, if you go, get the threading! It HAS to be better than their waxing. Just take wax off your menu. Waste of my $12. I left with bad and stinging brows, and now i have to wait a week for them to grow in a little to have them fixed at custom eyes. This is why I don't...

I dunno what changed when they moved outside of the mall...but service isn't as good as it used to be. First time I came here at their new store, one of the ladies got alcohol in my eye as she cleaned my eyebrow prior to threading. Not sure if she understood what i said as she proceeded to thread my brow while my eye is on fire. The threading was painful. The hair on my eyebrows is coarse. Waxing works better which I asked for...that's what I had done before. It was great. The worker said threading is far superior to waxing for my brows...even when I told her when i did threading before...I was not a fan of it. I hate the sound the thread makes and when they threaded my brows at Pretty Eyes, the thread kept breaking. Anyhow, this visit was the worst visit I have had at Pretty Eyes. I used to come twice a month. Their new store also smells like sewage. Disgusting. Hopefully, they can get the smell issue solved. Never argue with your customer especially when you have a friendly, regular customer that used to refer a ton of business your way when your shop was...
