On Friday 2/28/25 around 5:07 pm I went to Farhat Sweets in Sterling Heights to purchase some pistachio baklava. I bought 4 pieces at 1.50 each. Went home and shared it with my daughter.. Lo & behold when I was chewing on one I felt something hard, so I took it out of my mouth- it was a nail!!! (Pictured) I stock it on the styrofoam so you can see it. Oh no, I hope I didn’t swallow any. I spat up what was left in my mouth and was very scared. A nail! What the heck!!! I proceeded to call Farhat Sweets to inform them about it. I explained the situation and the lady on the phone said that the manager left so you can come tomorrow and I’ll take care of you. No empathy, just come tomorrow😡 I wasn’t happy but had no choice & went with it. Next day both my daughter and returned with the remnants along with the nail. We were interrogated as if we stole something. I was very mad and even asked the lady “if you go out to dinner and chewed on a nail, what would you do? The answer came like a person without an education- she said and I quote “there is stuff in food every where, just throw it out, we don’t have nail here”. I looked at her in disbelief as she kept on questioning me. Seems as if it was in battle for a million dollars. After a long drawn out debate, I demanded to talk to the Manager again. I obviously was told he’s not available! I stood there fuming because I was not taken seriously and there was no empathy from any of the two ladies. Eventually after I was demanding my money back she saw how mad I was and took $6. from the draw and handed it to me. Let me tell you guys, I snatched it out off her hand with disgust made a u-turn and stormed out of there (even my daughter was shocked) never to go back ever again. My next step was to call channel 2 and put them in the hall of shame!! And I’m not kidding! How rude, no customer service! All about money - no humanity whatsoever!!! Tell me something guys, was this necessary? For $6.00??? It was not about the money for me. I just wanted to be heard and acknowledged. This is serious! I reported it to them so they can use it as constructive criticism. They took it this far and did it to themselves. All they had to say was “oh I am so sorry this happened to you, let me make it up to you” blah blah blah. It’s easy to be nice!! What a shame Farhat Sweets, not the way to handle...

Read moreNo prices until at register. When cashier first rang total it was $18. The owner? Asked if I were leaving a tip I stated No, she cancelled my order. Re rang up the. It became $24. I asked if the triangle dessert with Nutella was more like a Baklava she said NO. Once home to try the decadent dessert, it was exactly baklava. The famous Dubai chocolate bar advertised on social media had more of a white filling and the only chocolate was the drizzle on top. So thinking … maybe white chocolate. Nope it was some disgusting crème with an indescribable flavor. Definitely not what I asked for but thought their own unique twist ? Horrible. Waste of $18 at the $24 charged price. When asking the prices suddenly they spoke broken “English” acting as if not understanding. Other patrons in store at same time took notice and one couple walked out without purchasing. Had the Dubai chocolate bar next day DownRiver area Tony Cannoli inside TrentFarms market. Amazing !!! Only $4.95 slice. In area so stopped. A far drive from Macomb but worth it as I was in the area. Typically don’t leave negative reviews however after tasting the Real Dubai chocolate bar and at only $4.95. Wanted community to know what shady shit this owner/location pulls in...
