Puerto Vallarta — Restaurant in Steubenville

I'm disappointed to revise my rating from 4 stars to 1. This was once our go-to spot for great, affordable Mexican food, but things have changed dramatically.

The food quality and value have both taken a hit. Portions are noticeably smaller, prices have increased significantly, and the dishes simply aren't as good as they used to be.

The poor service is another major issue. It's become common for servers to act like they're bothered when taking orders. Getting a drink refill or asking for anything extra is a struggle, as staff often disappears for long periods.

Finally, the restaurant's exterior is in rough shape. The parking lot is full of potholes, and the sidewalks are littered with cigarette butts and debris. In the winter, they're never shoveled or salted, making it difficult to get inside safely.

3-21-2023 Puerto Vallarta was a very very good restaurant. My wife had a beef chimichanga; I had a chicken flauta. They were excellent. Frederico waited on us and did an awesome job. The atmosphere was marvelous. I definitely would recommend this restaurant for a fantastic Latin meal. 7-1-2023 The meal this evening was fantastic! My wife had the Beef Fajita and I had the Chicken Enchilada. We both had double rice instead of frijoles. Lina took excellent care of us, checking on us ensuring we were doing ok. She made sure our drinks stayed full and when it was time to leave, Lina noticed we were ready and we did not have to wait on the check. She was an awesome server, very attentive. Hello and thank you for taking the time to read my review! First time trying this place and it's decent. The chips and salsa was good. The salsa is very mild. I added some of the hot sauce on from the caddy and it was really good after that!

I got the four flautas. 2 beef and 2 chicken. The chicken ones were slightly dry but the flavor was good. The beef ones I thought were shredded beef but they are ground beef and I won't order those again.

My husband got the chicken chimichanga. He really liked it. It was smaller than he thought but it was actually a perfect portion. The beans are really tasty.

My daughter got the carne asada platter and that was just a big no. It was kinda like beef jerky with no flavor.
