Brine's Market & Deli — Restaurant in Stillwater

Nearly identical experience to Peter Gallagher's earlier review.

I got their cheaper prime "tenderloin" for my buddy and our 4 children at the suggestion of the butcher. I asked for one 2.25lb whole piece, the butcher mistakenly brought out a nice looking 1.13lb piece. I explained it was too small and the butcher said I requested a pound and a quarter; I'm pretty sure the butcher took personal offense. The cut he sent me out the door with was grotesque with an insane amount of membrane attached, some discolored. I felt bad for my buddy, he was questioning his wasted energy cleaning and cooking the abortion. I'm a local, sadly my wife will be asked to no longer use this long-standing local business and I'll now need to make my own Bud's Bacon Ranch potato salad. We came to the conclusion it was possibly brisket? This was a very confusing...

On multiple occasions I ordered a sandwich in the deli section and asked for extra ingredients on my sandwich and never get what I want, or the sandwich is just missing ingredients period. And by the time I realized the mistake, I'm already at work. This place isn't like Subway where the customer can watch what the employers are putting into the sandwich. The sandwich staging area is placed where the employees have to turn their backs so the customers can't see how they are making their food. Then the employees wrap the sandwich without having the customer check the food that they are paying for and slaps a sticker on the sandwich making it a hassle to unwrap and check the quality. If I could give this store a 10out10 I would. My boyfriend and I were greeted when we walked in, the butcher was so patient with our decisions on meat, then we headed over to the deli to get lunch meat and again the lady in the back recommended her fave and also let us try a few different deli meats. The kicker was the 3 gentleman in the sandwich art that were so nice, patient, informative and kind. They sold my boyfriend on 2 new salads they just had got in and the conversation was just so refreshing. This is by far my best experience that I've gotten in a while from a grocery store. I'd definitely recommend coming in. The $5 deli sandwiches are a hit. I wish I would have gotten the names of these helpful people but I was sure to let the store manager what an amazing group he had working. Keep up the amazing customer...
