China Wok — Restaurant in Stillwater

Still water has very few good Chinese resturants. This is the spot. My family and I moved here in October of 2020 and didn't find China Wok until around February 2021 after being so disappointed with other local places. I will not name any restaurants but go here for takeout! It's family owned and they cook great, we are frequents and the service is always great. They never wait for a tip like many to go places do and in fact they are so fast sometimes if you don't have cash ready they don't make you write the total on the bill. The bill is never more than what's said on my statements. I have tried everything from their in house special Dragon meets Phoenix which is great, to their Lo Meins. Their roast pork has the flavor of what you get from high end Chinese places ribs. Smoky delicious chunks all throughout rather than giant slices of pork or porkchop. This is the place people! I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this place had false advertising . The menu described the hot ad spicy chicken as “crispy” and “fried” — sounds great in theory — but what I got was the exact opposite. I ordered it spicy level 3 there wasnt even a hint of crispiness or spiciness anywhere.

I called and asked if i could replace it they told me since i left the store there was nothing they could do. I just accepted it then moved on because I had crab ragoons and a “pork” roll

The crab ragoons said it came with a sweet chili sauce - this is just sweet and sour sauce if im not mistaken. The “pork” roll was the final straw — no real meat, just some sad little bacon bits that im pretty sure arent even real pork tossed in as if that’s the same thing. Spoiler alert: it’s not. I was honestly shocked this came from a restaurant and not someone’s reheated leftovers.

The food tastes great, and you get a lot for what you pay. I usually get the same thing every time, Signapore Chow Mai Fun and dumplings, but the other dishes I've tried are also very good. A reviewer below said that "they fight and yell at each other," but I've never experienced this out of the many times I've been there. The person working at the counter is very courteous, and the cook is usually working very hard. The restaurant is pretty typical, and so is the menu, but the dine-in experience could use some improvement in terms of the soda machine and seating.
