We stayed here in April on our way back from Tennessee. Needed to get off the road and rest a night. We live in Florida and did the all nighter on the way to Tennessee and just couldn't handle it again. The city looked nice and was very crowded. We checked a few other hotels but they were booked. When we got here, the room looked nice. We went for dinner and when we got back to the hotel, my husband was the first to shower. When I called the front desk ( on no hot water) he just yelled LET IT RUN AWHILE, well that did absolutely nothing. Besides the no hot water, my daughter and I had rashes from the bedding and towels. We were so itchy, it was horrible. We had just finished spending 8 nights at Country Inn and Suites in Tennessee and even with the roof being fixed and the new one being put on (with the noise and limited parking we had) I have to say they were exotic compared to this place. When I went to return the key in the morning after my cold shower, the guy opened the front door with such a small opening (as if I was to do something to him). I tried to dispute the sale with my credit card company, but they regretfully said after checking into it, they were unable to help me. I usually write only good reviews, but I wanted people to know just how bad this hotel really is. If you can't find a hotel available in this city, the next city is just a few more minutes of driving and well worth the drive. DON'T STAY HERE WITH NO HOT WATER, TOWELS THAT FEEL LIKE STEEL, ITCH LIKE CRAZY AND THE RUDENSS OF THE...
Read moreCalled to book a hotel, the lady that answered the phone yelled at me stating that if I want a room I can call tomorrow, and that she has already told me this and I need to stop calling and then hung up on me. I immediately called back, and when the lady answered I said Hi, I just called and I don’t know if she thinks I am someone that she has spoke to already but this was my first time calling. She was still very rude with me and said that someone keeps calling, I said that’s not my fault, I am just trying to book a room. She continues to yell that I am harassing them. I said no I am not but you just lost my business. She then hung up on me again. I used to work in the hotel business, I know you can people that call in and are crazy but you do not answer the phone and just start yelling at your customers. Especially if you don’t know who’s on the other line, and then when that person tells you they are not who you may think and they are calling for the first time, you can calmly let them know you have had an issue and you apologize for yelling. I can understand being scared. But what I will not do is except you being disrespectful and rude to a customer that has nothing to do...
Read moreWhere do I start? Well… when I arrived to the room it was FILTHY!!! There were roaches EVERYWHERE- in the tub, one dead inside of the toilet, INSIDE OF THE MINI FRIDGE AND MICROWAVE, I mean they were literally crawling ALL OVER THE ROOM. I turned on the sink faucet and the water came out YELLOW; it took about 15 seconds for it to turn clear!!! I went to the front desk, told them about the issue, and clerk immediately moved me to another room (so I did appreciate that). The new room was insect-free BUT the bathtub could have been scrubbed a bit cleaner and the hardwood floor needs to be swept. I literally walked around with my shoes on my entire stay. I didn’t even feel comfortable walking around the room with my socks on. I’d suggest staying here only if you’re on a serious budget and NOT staying long. The only two great things about my stay is that the hotel is in a convenient area for food/shopping and the housekeeping lady was very prompt about keeping me stocked up on...
