Hyppolite Family Restaurant — Restaurant in Stockbridge

I ordered pickup from this restaurant through uber eats. This was my first time trying the restaurant. On Uber eats I paid for Lalo with black mushroom rice, a puffy patty, an order of Bouyon Soup, and a side of white rice. I drove 30 mins to the destination to retrieve my order only to discover that it was not ready once I arrived, although on the uber eats app stated that it was ready.

I waited a little over 5 minutes for someone to come to the register. I told the employee that I was there to retrieve an uber eats order. The employee looked confused, went to the back then came back with a device asking me if the order on his screen was the order I was coming for. I replied yes. The employee then informed me that they did not have any puffy patties and asked if I would like to substitute it for a different type of patty. I replied yes. About 10-15 additional mins went by and the employee asked if I would like to include bean sauce with my order. I replied yes. Once I got the order I failed to check it, got in my car and drove 30 mins back to my home.

Once I got home I realized that there was no black mushroom rice in the bag, they had given me a plate of rice and beans along with some sort of fried meat and plantains that I did not order. Although it was disappointing to not have received the black mushroom rice, everything that I did recieve, including the plate that I didn't order, was absolutely delicious!

The portions of food were large, the ingredients were fresh, and every item received was flavorful. I wouldn't suggest using uber eats to order from this restaurant as they may not give you what you paid for. Also, if you ever go to this restaurant, don't expect speedy service. You may walk in and not be greeted or acknowledged for a few mins, however whatever food you pay for is sure to be extremely tasty. I will order from them again in the future, I just will not use uber eats...

This Haitian restaurant is the worst Haitian restaurant I have ever been to since I came here. The food is horrible, and they don’t take their time to cook it properly. The plate that I got was rice and beans with chicken for my side They don’t even care to separate everything that is coming with the meal they put everything in one place for example the rice and beans, chicken, and the fried plantain all came in one little plate. When I took a bite of the fried chicken it was not even finished cooking like it was supposed to It was like they were in a hurry to make the food or something. If I could leave zero stars for this restaurant I would have that’s how...

Been coming here for the last two years and the food never disappoints!!! Jr and his family take pride in their craft and it shows in the food! The fried turkey with white rice and the bean sauce is a wonderful dish. The black rice and stew chicken is a classic. No matter what you order you will rub your feet together with enjoyment...
