Wow, I have never had a drive thru experience like I had last evening at the new Wendy's 870 Hwy138 in Stockbridge. I placed my order for No. 1 Dave's Double Cheese Burger without Onions with Coke drink.
Two vehicles were in front of me. A Silver pickup truck was at the window, the customer and young man that was taking the orders was going back and forth about the order. Lasted at least 5 minutes. Next car also seem to have and issue with his order. The when I got to the window the young man asked me what was my order (I repeated my order) he closed the window and was in conversation with a young lady with black about my order, he came back to the window and ask did I want Cheese ( I repeated my order again) then the young lady asked me what was my order it was obvious she was preparing the burgers ( I repeated my order to her) they close the window came back within seconds handed me a bag and no drink. So I asked "Can I get my drink and receipt, so the young man gave me the drink no receipt. He say the receipt was in the bag. So all of sudden a tall young lady with blonde hair opened the window and proceeded to lecture me that I sudden be arguing about my order, I told her I wasn't arguing, I just want my order that I have repeated at least 4- 5 times , she told my I was OLD and didn't know what I ordered, these are minors and I shouldn't raise my voice. and slammed the window closed. I get home the Burger had Onions on it.
I returned to the drive thru, the young man ask me what was wrong, I explained there were Onions on the burger he turned to the young lady and told her, she came to tge window and said I took the Onions off your burger, I responded yes I see that what you did. Can you please fix me fresh burger no Onions period. I apologized for the misunderstanding. She returned to the window and handed me a burger asked me to check it. I told her no problem it's find I'm sure it right, may I have my fries and soda, she say I through your fries away, the tall young lady (I think she was the on duty manager) didn't say a word. She seem aggravated.
I just left. burger in hand and a coke (no fries) cost me $9.51 and they didn’t give me a receipt
I called Wendy's corporate office and filed a complaint had to give them the transaction information from my bank account, waiting to hear from them.
I get it, these young people are new in the workforce, possibly their 1st job. But customer service is a must.
Update: I received a called from the store manager and he apologized about my experience, invited me back to store, he was very understanding. Asked did I live in the area, to come and he make sure to resolve this issue and give me meal, as I ordered last night. Thank Sir for your prompt response. 👍🏽I will update this review from 1 star ⭐️...
Read moreThe only reason I am giving this 2 stars is because of the location...nicely remodeled. I went to location to get breakfast. I drove thru the drive thru and ordered one sausage/egg/cheese croissant and one bacon/egg/cheese croissant. The woman told me my total and told me to drive around to the 2nd window. Once I pulled around...I realized I forgot to order hash browns/potatoes. So once around...I told the woman that I forgot to order hash browns and could it be added to my order? Mine you I havent paid yet. She adamantly said "NO!" I first I thought she was joking... So I asked again. And again so flat out said "No!" So I gave her my card and paid. She returned my card and closed the glass window. Now mind you...based off her demeanor...slight scowl..nonchalent...blinking her eyes with huge black "butterflies" on each eyelid..smh. I figured she might be having a bad morning. She returrns with my food and hands me my bag. "Here is your food. I put 2 jams in there" I then asked "Are you ok?" She said "Yeah! and then looked at me like it was a dumb question to ask. Then closed the window. I was kinda blown away by the exchange. From my experience and reading other posts of this particular location...I assume this is the norm for customer service from their employees and management condones it. Its somewhat sad because its a beautiful location ( Spivey Station Pkwy) but the customer service kills the entire experience. They might need to improve this especially since their main competition is right across the street (McDonald's) and at the time was packed...
Read moreIt’s rare that I flat out refuse to even entertain the possibility of a rating higher than one star. Normally a friendly staff would at least warrant a 2 star and this staff was friendly. However that is as far as this experience went. The food: I got a chicken wrap, a number 5 on their current menu. This consisted of approx 12 pieces of mildly warmed chicken, some half melted cheese and some limp lettuce that was warmer than the chicken. The wrap was fresh last week but far from fresh today. If it hadn’t been so brittle it could have been used a frisbee. I received it in an open face configuration. My attempt at wrapping it resulted in not one but four separate sub tortillas. Taste wise, no! Let’s just not even go there. if it doesn’t give me diarrhea I’ll be shocked!
The rest of my dining party had nothing special other than messy and below average sandwiches.
Fries were cold Soda machine thought it was a us/Mexico border agent. It was asking me what country It was in and refused to dispense soda. Ketchup dispensers were empty Ketchup packages were sticky with the remnants of an exploded packet. Sticky and dry suggesting it’s been a minute since it’s been cleaned.
If I had to guess, this isn’t the example Dave would have wanted for his dining establishments. Square burgers...
