Acapulco Gardens Mexican Food — Restaurant in Stockton

Pricey! I visited this place today since I was craving a menudo with granos I didn't expect to pay that much for a menudo plate and a soda oh well I guess everything is going up these days! I was charged almost $20 plus my $3 dollar tip.

now let me talk about the food... from the place I'm from in Durango Mexico we are used to eat the menudo with French bread 🥖 that was the first disappointment because they don't offer you bread at all! Just tortillas, the second disappointment is the smelly menudo, not sure that smell is because they don't wash the menudo as good as they should but that's seems to be normal at all restaurants that I have tried menudo so far, over all the food was acceptable and service was okay but I guess I'm not coming back again, because they didn't meet...

Another Google review wrote about this places portions. I would have to agree , the portions were ridiculously small. The prices were pretty expensive too, at $22 for a two meat breakfast plate with beans and rice . Restaurants can't expect to raise prices AND skimp their customers. The food was actually pretty decent and the waitress was nice. But this spot is ran down , in the middle of the hood. I can go to a higher end brunch spot at these prices. Very disappointing. DO NOT GO HERE. I went here this morning with my girlfriend, we ordered to go and our order was completely wrong, missing food as well. They packaged my steak ranchero in a pie pan with a paper lid on top of smaller boxes and caused it to spill all over our car. I looked at how much meat was left AND THERE WAS LESS THAN A QUARTER POUND OF MEAT IN ALL JUICE!!!!!!!! WE SPENT 45 DOLLARS ON OUR FOOD AND GOT RIPPED OFF!!!! DO NOT EAT...
