Panera Bread — Restaurant in Stockton

Love their food and their mission but this location is garbage. Rapid orders are not done rapidly BUT more importantly this location is disgusting! Not sanitary at all.

While there waiting for my rapid order to be finished the manager (I'm pretty sure she was the manager) brought a bowl of soup back from a table she had just delivered to and she instructed the associate to pour the soup back into the pot for a future customer. I watched food sit on the counter (out of temp) for more than 20 minutes without being delivered. Lastly, I watched said manager using the same gloves handling money, receipts, customer complaints, food delivery AND food prep!!! This is a huge no no in food safety. She did not once change her gloves while I was there as she switched from task to task.

They get this low rating without me even touching on the filth and chaos behind the counter. I left without my order and called corporate immediately.

My take away, skip Panera or if you really want Panera head to the Lodi location.... they never disappoint. I refuse to pay high prices for "clean food" that doesn't follow sanitation guidelines when...

We used their app to order. I ordered 2 whole sandwiches on Ciabatta bread cuz they were out of Focaccia. When we got home, we realized that all of our sandwiches were on French baguettes, which were hard and chewy (They need to learn how to make REAL French baguettes from France). Please management, if you don’t have something, let us know, don’t be that creative, giving us something that we don’t want. I would rather cancel the order if I had known. I give 2 stars with a wish for u to make it better next time. We still have lots money on the gift card, sad 😞 P.S. Their small portions and qualities (large brown spots on avocado that they didn’t bother to remove... not the first time) are NOT worth the money, you would have better meals...

I have never been in a Panera as dirty as this location was. My food was served to me with a spoon that had lipstick all over it. The majority of the seats were completely torn. We were going to sit near the fireplace and the table was dirty and several employees just walked by and didn't offer to clean it. I decided we could sit near the window. Well guess what the window seals were absolutely filthy. There was trash everywhere. This is not from one day this is a absolutely a neglected restuarant. I travel up and down the state of California for work and I have been to many Paneras and NEVER EVER have seen...
