I went here this evening on my birthday because I had A Craving for dungeoness crab. The manager/employee /only human representative that was working - Older with Gray hair a beard and a hat that thought he was quite a smooth talker, Which Said that neither the half Dungeon crab listed on the menu, Nor the $50 bundle that included a 1/2 pound of dungeoness crab Were available to order Due to the fact he only had a full order of crab not a 1/2? And in addition also said If I were to order that bundle he would have to substitute It with a 1/2 lb of snow crab which I did not want. Due to this attempted blatant manipulation, I had my cousin cancel her $20 shrimp order, And both of us opted to go to a different restaurant downtown ragin cajun which happily accommodated us, In fact there a full pound of dungeoness crab was $36.99 A nearly $15 difference between rays full crab @ $50 with zero sides would have been,, which btw wouldn't even accommodate my request Because they only had a full order available which they could not cut in half for a paying customer, A nearly $15 difference between rays which wouldn't even accommodate the request. His attempted manipulation Lost him Over $75 in business. Not to mention due to this behavior I will never return to this restaurant. Thanks for ruining my birthday Rays smooth talker! After 20 years of restaurant management I'm quite sure your employers/stakeholders aren't Going to like to hear this 100% factual review of my special occasion experience there, I Am A First and last time customer Thank you NOT very much! While in Sacramento I had spent over $300 With rays Locations there. Without ever being disappointed. Here in Stockton I will however never go back to this Operators location again, I was So disappointed And disgusted we even told him it was my birthday, And my only request was dungeonist crab! However On a pleasant note ragin cajun Was Absolutely delicious I would highly recommend them and give them 5 stars And they will gain all my future seafood business , They are far better priced and met all of my needs as a paying customer! Ray's chicken and fish guy was attempting to be a master manipulator and failed and lost all future business from me Due to his attempts at bating and switching And trying to rewrite the menu on the spot. Which lost him all faith confidence and up to over $75 worth of business!!! December 3rd 2024 6PM He should be fired! He will only lose you more customers 100% guaranteed! Don't waste your money here go to Ragin Cajun Where they actually care...
   Read moreToday I treated a few thousand of my closest friends to some fried catfish from Ray's Chicken & Fish Mart (market) and these are my observations.
Now when I got home with my orders and was seated at the table and tasted a bite of the catfish the first thing that I notice was that it needed some work and that's exactly what I did I worked on that catfish real good but I had enough self control to save a few fillets for a nice big catfish sandwich after the game which I'm about to go work now.
Oh, those friends that I mentioned were the Taste Buds that belonged to me and my sister and between the two of us that damn near 8,000 taste buds and nary a one had a complaint about Ray's fried catfish. So on Monday it'll be a catfish and prawn combo for game 4.

   Read moreFirst off our meal and experience started off great. We hadnt been there and were skeptical as we were told about the people at the front counter but we still trued it out. We definitely shouldâve listened to the warnings. I asked for fried shrimp and reiterated that i wanted it fried and we got something else which we werenât mad about as we think we ordered the wrong stuff thinking it was something else. So we politely went back and asked if they could fry the shrimp well the oldest daughter at the register caught an attitude and said well thats what you ordered, okaaay we know that but it was mistake and then she takes our food slams on the counter and while they remaking it she talking mad sht back there, customers telling us to let it go and they always doing something, one woman was like them girls always doing too much back there, instead of the order being fixed all we wanted was the shrimp fried she charge 1$ to do so i mean thats not alot but thats mot customer services as i said twice i wanted fried shrimp. Needles to say i know from what the other customers were saying this has definitely happened before and the fact that we were warned before we went also proves to us that when ray puts his foot down and makes sure that he is running a legitimate customer service business hell be ok because today i spent 30$ on food that after all of that i had no appetite to eat and we still was missing stuff out the order ..need less to say WE WILL NOT BE...
