Not happy with my visit tonight. I haven’t been there since last fall. I used to come here frequently pretty much for the chicken wings! But they have changed. I hope it was just a bad batch but I’m afraid it’s probably a permanent change. They had a thick hard crusty batter with tiny pieces of chicken underneath. Not good at all. I even spoke to the manager on duty about it. The tacos really aren’t any good. The soup was OK. The salad bar itself, which I did not have a lot of, looked OK. Service was a little slow. A couple of things that I asked for took a while to get to my table. I don’t know if the server was real busy but the restaurant was not that busy. They really need to up their game or they’re going to go the way of most of the other Sizzler‘s. That would be too bad because the restaurant has potential. It will be quite a while before I return.

Seems like Sizzler really stepped up their game. Very nice inside.
Guess what…chicken wings are back! For the price of the salad bar, $17, you can eat all the chicken wings you want. Also…all the soup you want, all the salad bar you want, all the tacos you want, all the dessert do you want!! Let’s not forget their Texas cheese toast! I had three pieces. The vegetable beef soup was very good. Tender pieces of beef. I had two bowls! I also had a bowl of broccoli cheddar soup…very good! Other flavors they had were chicken noodle and clam chowder. All soups are made fresh in house! As I write this I’m sitting here waiting for some fresh hot chicken wings. It’s not real busy so they don’t put a lot out but I’m willing to wait! Downside were the Sweet and Sticky chicken strips that I ordered on the side. $3.19. Lots of heavy batter! I think there was chicken inside. I cannot recommend these! There are two other choices for these add-on chicken strips…Carolina gold and honey chicken. They may be better than what I had. If you order the senior salad bar, the price is the same but you get a free drink. I appreciate that they carry my favorite, Coke zero!
Kudos to my awesome server, Angelica! ————————-
I went to Sizzler tonight to redeem the free hamburger coupon I received for signing up for their frequent flyer club. Almost sorry that I went. Of course like everybody else, I miss the chicken wings. The manager said they should have them back within six months. I guess there’s a national wing shortage right now. They replaced the wings with mini corn dogs and chicken nuggets. When they brought out a fresh tub of chicken nuggets I took half a plate full. Added barbecue sauce. They were edible. Almost seem like they had ground up chicken in them. At least they were hot and fresh. I tried the mini corn dogs when they brought fresh ones out. Nothing exciting. I ordered my hamburger medium. It came dried out with barely any kind of a sauce on it. I wound up eating the meat and leaving the bun. Sure glad it was free! I was afraid to try the steak. My go to-place for steak is Texas Roadhouse. I knew Sizzler was not up to that standard. I asked the manager how the bankruptcy filing was affecting his store. He said he’s a franchise so at this point it’s not really affecting him. I tried the vegetable beef soup. That was definitely two stars. Not much flavor to it. There were no soup spoons available. I had to ask three times before I got a soup spoon. It appears maybe like a lot of other businesses they are understaffed because of the lack of employees. I’ll check back with them once in a while to see if they are offering the chicken wings. Then I...
Read moreThis is one of my favorite places to eat. I enjoy the atmosphere and the food. A while back my server was Joanna..I think I spelled her name right. She is THE BEST waitress this restaurant has. I wish I could clone her and take her everywhere. Today my waitress was Gloria, and she was a sweetheart. She was attentive to our table making our experience worth the eat. But I do have some reservations regarding the manager Gabriella. She was on the floor cleaning and organizing the food. I have concerns regarding her etiquette. All employees should be required to wear gloves, especially when working with food. Gabriella had no gloves on which gave me a concern because she is a member of management. Management is to set an example for the employees that are beneath them. You must not only require employees handling food to wear gloves, but you too must wear gloves when handling food as well. When I asked her why she wasn’t wearing gloves, she said that she was just cleaning up what customers dropped, and that is not an excuse for a manager to use while on the floor handling food for customers. I watched her as she arranged ice-cream cones,, syrups and crackers. She said oh I was fixing the salad, but she couldn’t tell me why she wasn’t wearing gloves. Note…all members of management must practice what they preach. ALL EMPLOYEES must wear gloves when handling food is just that ALL EMPLOYESS, this means management as well. Members of management are NOT exceptions to the rule. Also, the finger foods have a tendency to be undercooked like the chicken wings and potato wedges. Come on Sizzler, you have...
Read moreI had an amazing dining experience at Sizzler, and a big part of it was thanks to the incredible service provided by the manager, Verdo. From the moment we walked in, Verdo went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us. His attentiveness and genuine hospitality made us feel truly valued as customers.
The food, as always, was outstanding. The salad bar was fresh and plentiful, with so many great options to choose from. I ordered the steak and shrimp combo, and it was cooked to perfection – tender, flavorful, and just the right portion size.
Verdo’s attention to detail really stood out. He checked in with us throughout the meal to ensure we had everything we needed and even offered thoughtful recommendations from the menu. It’s rare to see a manager so hands-on and committed to making every guest’s experience exceptional.
The atmosphere was warm and inviting, and with Verdo’s excellent leadership, the staff worked seamlessly to provide top-notch service. If you’re looking for great food and a team that truly cares about your experience, Sizzler is the place to go. Highly recommend! And a special thanks...
