I had a very disappointing experience with a manager or someone claiming to be a manager named Kiara at the American Deli on Panola Road. Her attitude was extremely rude and unprofessional when I came in to address an issue with an Uber Eats order.
I had ordered 2 combo 6-piece wings one medium and one garlic parmesan. That’s exactly what was listed on my receipt. However, I received both combos as medium. When I returned to the store to have the mistake corrected, Kiara was not only dismissive but explained in a rude manner that the way Uber Eats prints the orders is confusing for the kitchen. That explanation didn’t make much sense to me, especially when my receipt clearly showed the correct flavors.
Instead of trying to fix the issue, she simply offered to give me the garlic parmesan sauce on the side. I would expect a manager to try to resolve a food-related complaint more professionally especially when the mistake is clear and fixable. Her attitude lacked any form of customer service or accountability. Even a simple explanation like, “This happens sometimes, but let me fix it for you this time,” would have gone a long way.
I then asked for ranch and to change my drink since I didn’t want a Coke. Her response was, “Man, what did y’all order?” which only made the situation more frustrating. She claimed she put the sauce in the bag and blamed the Uber Eats driver for it possibly being missing, even though my order was dropped off securely at Staples. There was no ownership or effort to resolve the issue.
To make matters worse, she tried to charge me again for a different drink, even though refills should be included once a drink is purchased.
This was by far the worst customer service experience I’ve had. A manager should always make an effort to support the customer and work out any issues behind the scenes not respond with attitude and zero willingness to help. Read moreI visited this location on 7/10/2024 i order a philly combo with bell peppers and extra onions. When my food was ready i told the lady hey it have mushrooms on it i am allergic to mushrooms. So the the lady with the glasses who took my order turns around and says o gave u what u order and i said mama bell pepper and extra onions. I ask her politely can u have them to remake it with out mushrooms. She proceeds to say you can order another sandwich. So i ask for the manager and her name she then said her name kira and the manager not in. So i took a picture of her so when i do contact the manager i can let them know who i spoke with. She went off and said why the F did i take a pic i politely said to have proof who i spoke with she then proceeded to yell even more asking me to leave the store and then want to pick up her tablet to record which i have no problem with her doing trying to say i gave u what u order which she did not. I left out and she came out side the building talking and saying she going yo take a pic of my tag and she calling the police i said ok that fine i will wait for the police. She then saying she been here 10 years in a 400000 dollar house and i said not at American deli you are not and bringing your kids to work. Which i have witness several time. Read moreCustomer service sucks , the lady with the black glasses & long black braids or dreads are so rude and has a distasteful attitude when asking a question, she never says hello or hi, she just says can I take your order , I had to say hello how are you doing she just looked down she was in her phone texting I got really agitated and started to walk out the store but I drove so far to get this salad she always have her head down in her cell phone typing, while the guests are just standing there waiting to order. My husband was mad he even said how rude she was to him when he asked for extra sauce she gave him a nasty look and turned away looking down on her phone I know people need work but that lady needs to be fire and replaced with a nicer cashier who loves what they do and that have good outstanding customers service Period.
