If I could give less than a star, I would. I was greeted with a "Happy Mother's Day" by a woman that seemed to be a team lead as soon as I walked in. That put a smile on my face. From there, it went downhill. 1 Waitress was interacting with the young lady who greeted me, & although I don't know what the issue was, the waitress was trying to refrain from "going off". Whatever her issue was she said, "F**k that" very loudly, & the woman who greeted me told her, "not while on the floor", meaning, not in front of a customer. So these 2 ladies, along with 2 more ladies went in the back presumably to discuss whatever the issue was. They were in the back for 20 mins, during which time my food was prepared, & even though my order was placed to go, sat on the counter on a to go plate, uncovered. The ladies were still in the back & apparently the cooks can't check customers out, so I sat there waiting at which point I noticed how dirty, even for waffle house, this location is. I was 1 of 2 customers so not sure how no one had time to clean as they went. I know this is long, but what really caused me to give 1 star is I asked for a 2nd set of to go silverware once the waitress came out, & she told me they're only allowed to give 1 to go silverware per customer. When I pushed back by acknowledging that I didn't think it was her fault, but something wrong with mngmt enforcing such a ridiculous rule, this young lady actually told me, "it's not that serious", as she begrudgingly went to ask her managers permission to give me a 2nd set of to go silverware. Read moreOkay, this location is super busy as it is located less than a half mile away from a major Interstate (I-20). I came here overnight around 4 AM, and there was a crowd, but it was no big deal as the line to order was not long at all. The problem was how long it took for my order to be ready. I was told after my order was taken and I paid that it would be a 25-minute wait. I was tired and hungry, so I didn't fuss and returned to my vehicle to wait. I'm observing the other patrons while I wait, and some customers appeared to be very upset about their order and were yelling to speak to the manager. The argument resulted in a partial refund being issued, and the customer sped away pissed. That incident and the patrons in the parking lot dancing passed the time so much that I had waited 30 minutes already, but I still had not been called to the window to pick up my order. I'm now getting frustrated, so I get back in line and wait for another 5-10 minutes to get to the window. When I asked about the holdup, the waitress was flustered and confused. I told her I had been waiting over 30 minutes for an order that she told me would be no longer than 25. She starts talking to her coworkers and finds my order sitting on a counter, ready to go for probably for the past 15 minutes. They are so unorganized at this location that it is ridiculous. Detailed Review: I came here for a quick stop. The wait took a while longer than expected due to a lack of staffing, however, to the chef's credit they handled large group orders in a timely manner. The facility was manned by one cashier and one cook; May have been due to it being right after the 4th of July, if not, management needs to figure something out. Freedom (cashier) was very pleasant, transparent, attentive, and took extra care to verify my order before passing it onto the cook. The chef - unnamed - was good at multi-tasking, quickly resolved my confusing order (very customized) and when communicating her voice didn't boom; She spoke loud and clear enough for her coworker and the consumer. Not for the entire store. Take note other locations! My to-go container was very neat and I didn't get a hint of attitude from either staff member.
