Owner is nasty on social media, attacking her customers. Also, the breakfast sandwiches aren’t very good and the coffee is watery. Sherry Crompton is the owner of the company and featured here in the comment section. She blocked me when I pointed out that she’s the owner and she changed her name on Instagram to sher_c_66 🤷‍♀️. Cats out of the bag now until she sees this and changes it to “Jane Doe.” I guess she doesn’t believe in freedom of speech until it comes to yelling at her customers for suggesting that people shouldn’t have to work 3 jobs just to keep their heads above water. Say what you want about the policies that provide additional unemployment during this time, but don’t judge your employees for choosing the option that provides them with more money. Don’t call them lazy for prioritizing the option that puts them in a better place financially and mentally. That’s cruel. I see that mystic depot roasters first deleted any comments that were critical and then got rid of the comment section all together. On their next post they “limited” comments to only positive ones.

This cozy little restaurant was a delightful experience as it was nestled right next to the train station in Mystic. Service was very friendly and efficient and the food came out quickly. While there is little seating available, the environment is very cozy and is filled with cute gifts and candies. The coffee was wonderful and we even bought two bags of freshly ground to take home with us. Food was very good, especially the carrot cake muffin!

I drive an hour to visit because I was in the area & heard this was a "must do". Unfortunately I arrived 20 minutes before they closed so I was a bit rushed but the staff did not make me feel rushed, answered all my questions and made me a nice hot drink and breakfast sandwich. The atmosphere was fun & if it had been warmer I would have loved to sit outside. Cool history you can take in while you wait for your order!

Made Father’s Day reservations for our family of 5 for 10:15 am was told no problem and to show up at any time. My family and I checked out of our hotel and decided to head down a little early... around 9:45 to be more precise. No tables were available to fit our family upon arrival so my husband waited in line for 20 minutes just to get to the window to ask about our reservation, he was told someone would get a table ready for us in a minute and that we could just order online for best results. After some time a girl came out and quickly wiped down a table and ran back inside (Andrea) without even telling us we could have a seat.. in fact another patron tried to walk around our party of 5 and take the table from us. Finally we have a seat in the blazing sun and order online (keep in mind breakfast for 5 isn’t necessarily very cheap). Our order was placed at 10:17 and we were told it would be done at 10:32. My family sits and waits patiently trying to enjoy our morning as we watch numerous patrons wait in line, order their meals and then be served before we even receive our drinks. By 10:45 I decide to wait in line AGAIN to speak with someone about our order. While in line I watch another 5 coffees come out to people who arrived well after we did. When I get to the ordering table I am told that none of our order had even been started. When I begin to explain my distress about the situation Andrea comes out and starts yelling at me that sometimes they have issues with their online orders and that we showed up early for our reservation anyways she proceeds to stomp inside and scream at the top of her lungs “there is people outside treating me badly and I’m not going to deal with it”... a male manager then comes out and tells me they are really busy I said yes I see that but how are all these other patrons being served before us? to where he responds with “well sometimes life happens” I tell him I can show him when we placed our order and how long we have been waiting he tells me no need that he knows exactly when our order was placed and walks back inside... so what issue did they really have with the online system? The girl at the ordering table(not Andrea ) begins to take our drink order all over again so she can try to start It for us. My husband then decided to walk over to see what is going on... I tell him I was waiting on our drinks. Andrea then walks outside again and my husband asks if our food had even been started she yells at us “no I have not started making any of your food” my husband then decides that is is unhealthy for us to continue to be treated in such a manner and sit in the sun for so long without water even being offered so he requests a full refund. Moments later the male manager walks out with cash and says to my husband “refund?” My husband says yes please and the manger says “Yup”. Once in our car we call the restaurant and ask for the owners name and when he is available.. we are given the name but told “Good luck” when it came to ever speaking with him. At no point did one single employee of this establishment apologize for anything in fact their attitudes were completely disrespectful about the entire situation. Not sure who hired this crew but they clearly were not trained in the art of customer service. More like a “ we can do no wrong” type of service. Sorry guys but you aren’t perfect and you should be able to listen to a complaint and not have half of your crew start throwing a fit about it. Happy Father’s Day to you too, thanks for the...

Stopped here for breakfast on our way out of town and this place did not disappoint!

Coffee: banging lattes! Really flavorful espresso, just the right amount of milk, and not too much ice so it didn't get watered down. I also loved that the signage had pictures of the layering for each drink - a really helpful feature for those learning espresso!

Food: really reasonably priced and yummy. Our party stuck to breakfast sandwiches (the Mystic) which had sausage patties that covered the whole bun, a crispy but not overdone toast to the inside of the bun, and two eggs with nice melty cheese.

Atmosphere: AWESOME outdoor vibes. Lots of tables (umbrellas included) in your choice of lounge chairs or regular seating. Beautiful boxes of edible flowers/greens (some donated by the local garden club!) made it feel really natural.

Staff: beyond friendly, attentive, got all orders right (even brought the food and coffees outside to us). Loads of bonus points because they love four-legged visitors!

Clientele: local regulars and tourists alike!

This place is a must-visit off...
