The Mystic River Park is a gorgeous park and a must see attraction when visiting Mystic, Connecticut. The park is free and open to the public, and conveniently located alongside the Mystic River.
On a beautiful sunny day in September in 2024, and when celebrating my wife’s birthday in Mystic, Connecticut, I brought my wife, myself and our pet for a visit to the Mystic River Park and we very much enjoyed our visit there!!!
What my wife and I love about the park is that it’s perfect place to relax, take a stroll with your family or pets, and also its access to view the beauty of the Mystic River which can be easily seen along the park’s boardwalk.
My wife and I also enjoyed viewing the boats that were traveling up and down the river as well as seeing the upward and downward movements of the iconic Mystic River Bascule Bridge.
The Mystic River Park is also used for hosting concerts and musical performances, contains an ice cream and candy shop, and is closely located to Mystic’s shopping district and many other popular attractions.

The dock is a nice spot to take a stroll on the boardwalk; there is a playground, benches, and an ice cream shop right nearby. It's also a short distance from the main downtown hub.
