Luca's Pizza — Restaurant in Stoughton

This pizza is goo-oood. Really flavorful savory homemade sauce, generous amounts of high quality toppings, and cut into squares. A deal of a price, too, it’s filling because they don’t skimp on toppings - at all. An extra large pepperoni (not your average pepperoni=so flavorful) and a large order of cheesy sticks is a family dinner for $26! Without the fast food pizza hangover! The cheesy sticks, so good, buttery, slightly garlicky, lots of cheese, just the right amount of herbs sprinkled on top. Homemade marinara comes with it-could get a vat! Deeply flavorful Italian tomato sauce that would be soo good with homemade meatballs and spaghetti. (Request!?) Oh, and the Mengia (minus the bacon for us) is a grown-up pizza treat, green olives on pizza=yum fest. So nice owners to top it off...

$30 for large pizzas with pre-made crusts. Just awful.

I bought two specialty pizzas (pesto chicken and vegeterian) for $60 and they were perhaps the worst Ive ever had around the greater Madison area. The chicken tasted like it came pre-cooked from a bag from costco, and the crust tasted like it came from a box. To be honest, they wouldnt have been as terrible at a much lower price point but for what I was charged, I was genuinely sad.

And listen, I cant fault a business for trying to make a good sum on their product but this was honestly an absolutely grotesque price point for the quality of (at least) these two pies.

Came across Luca's by mistake the weekend they opened (several years ago). Curiosity got the best of me and I have been hooked since! It's as close to Chicago style (thin crust) pizza is you're going to find in southern WI...and they do have both pan and stuffed crust pizza too. It's consistently good - and it has a good flavor. They occasionally run specials for different sandwiches and if you're lucky enough to order on when they do, I highly recommend grabbing the sandwich! Their cheese sticks are...
