I just left from picking up my order, I ordered on my phone, large oxtail and it gave me the option to pick if I wanted rice and peas, steamed vegetables, and fried plantains with it, of course I checked all of them, it costs 29 00, I want everything it comes with, so I go in to pick up the order, waited in line even though i placed the order because there is nowhere to pick up orders, at my turn the i told the lady I placed the order on my phone, here to pick it up, she was acting like she didn't know what I was talking about, it wasn't even ready. This is a very tall, large, dark skinned woman, incredibly rude. She makes my plate, very skimpy on the serving, sooo skimpy, I'm waiting to see her put some plantains, never did, she put the bowl in a bag and hands it to me, so I ask her about the plantains, she just rudely says we don't have any, proper customer service would be to inform the customer that a part of their order is not available, can I offer you something of comparable price, I mean common human courtesy, it's not that hard. So when I asked can I get something else she just walked away and ignored me and went in the back, the man that was standing there had to pick up her slack because she just didn't want to deal with me. But its real funny how the two customers before me, she made their plates sooo overflowing, because I was even thinking of myself oh wow looks good, but now when she got to me she skimped and her whole attitude was completely different, and I was nothing but respectful to her. That was a crazy experience just now, my man was watching from the car and he could tell something was wrong and came in, horrible customer service, I guess she just picks and chooses the kinds of people she wants to be cool to, but that's alright because that was the first 29 dollars I spent there and it...
Read moreI wanted to share my feedback on this golden krust. I stopped by yesterday, June 24th, 2025. The day after my bday because I wasn't in the mood to cook. I looked around at the choices and asked a guy who was standing right in front of the food if one of the dishes was stew peas. Not realizing he had his phone videoing the food, he looked at me and didn't answer. Instead, he put his finger on his lip and shushed me to be quiet. I looked at the two ladies and employees who were at the register in disbelief because I couldn't believe he had just shushed me to not speak because he was videoing the food. The ladies quickly apologized to me and took my order. After this man did what he did, he looked at me without saying anything, not even an apology, and went back inside. One of the ladies took my order.
Let me just say the food is not the best, but at times, I don't want to drive all the way to mount Vernon or Bronx for jamacian food. I remember when ya'll opened, and I thought good, a golden krust closer to me. Again, the food is not something to wow about, but it can eat, and I usually buy bread and other things.
The fact that he disrespected me like that because he's videoing the food from his phone with no apology after the fact says a lot. He should know for the future that you can video with your phone, mute the sound, or edit the sound out. Technology has gotten much better over the years. There is no need to insult customers who just simply come into your establishment to buy food and support your business.
Not only do I support your business, but so do my friends and families.
If the food is not the best, great customer service goes a long way at least. Disappointing experience.
But, I do want to say thanks to the lady...
