Gregory's Pizza — Restaurant in Stratford

On Sunday the 16th of August exactly 7:19 pm. I got home after a long day and didn't feel like cooking. I usually order Chinese food, unfortunately all the Chinese restaurants were closed. I decided to Google pizza restaurants and saw Acropolis Pizza, I went on their website to look at the menu, not much was visible. I called and ask what specials or deals they got going, I really wanted to order a cheese stake with the pasta ziti, The girl that picked up the phone answered started to have an attitude once I was asking what deals do they have. She told me 1 large pizza, 12 Buffalo wings, and garlic bread and a 2 liter soda for 25 and change. I may be a little off the the price! Anyways Just by the aggression in her voice made me not want to order anymore! She said the pizza was cheese only, I ask her to add onions chicken green pepper and bacon. The total cane to something like 42.00. I asked why so much when we started out at 25. She was getting even more frustrated instead of just explaining to me how it came to being 42.00. I heard a girl in the background said tell him it's 75 cents per topping. By then I said to myself whatever! I'll take it. These people need to be trained in customer service. The girl sounds getto, and rude. I think the owner should have this employee's call yummy yummy Chinese restaurants to get an idea of what customer service is like! The pizza was great, one of the best I've ever had. The wings were hard as if they were made a while ago and sauce was poured over it. The garlic bread was ok, I wasn't a big fan. I have been a customer for well over 10 years. I have ordered home delivery from them I would estimate at least 24 weeks out of the year alternating between them and another town pizza house to support business within Stratford. I can no longer support their business. I made an order this week and was told 45-60 minutes, not a problem. 90 minutes went by gave them a courtesy call was told they had me down for pick up. Over 200+ orders in the past 10 years I have always had it delivered. Told the young lady on the phone to put another order in I did not want the 2 hour old pizza, she acknowledged and said okay it will be about an hour. I said fine, 45 minutes go by I get a call from a cell phone asking if I ordered a pizza, lost the connection tried calling the number back and no answer. I waited another 20 minutes and called the business she said they tried to deliver I asked the girl if i can speak to the manager she thought I was on hold and I can hear her say it's him what should I say. Another girl got on the phone and said she was the manager I started to complain about what was happening and she hung up on me. I called back immediately and a gentleman answered at this point i was irate and exploded he asked me to calm down I realized I wasn't making it any better. In short he didn't care what I had to say. Terrible experience today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I ordered lunch for my grandmother today during my brief visit to Stratford. Acropolis was her preferred restaurant for delivery and so I ordered her 2 chicken grinders to come out to her house. Upon delivery, we realized they made our sandwiches with the wrong protein and put steak instead of chicken. She cannot eat steak so we politely called back and made them aware of this error. Sounds like a simple routine complaint, WRONG. The girl was so sarcastic and disrespectful to me and we asked them to remake and deliver the correct food. We were told no. I called back and asked if we could just pick up the correct order and we were told that we would need to pay full price again to get our correct order... what??? We went in and the owner was so rude, dirty looks and shaking his head at us as if we did any thing wrong to him besides patronizing his business. At that point, we didn't even trust the food they made. We took a Refund and disposed of their menu. I would not recommend it. Especially if you value your money and like being treated...
