Main Wah Restaurant — Restaurant in Stratford

Our family used to eat at this restaurant a few years ago while we fixed our kitchen. The food was tasty so they became our go-to restaurant. We generally ordered at nights after work. In the summertime, one Saturday during lunchtime, we ordered beef and broccoli. While we were dishing it out at home, we noticed some peculiar black objects in the sauce, mixed in with the beef and broccoli. On closer inspection there were about 9 massive black flies cooked/sauteed in with the food. We took it back to the restaurant to show the owner and the guy behind the counter, Steve (the name he gave us), offered to prepare fresher batch for us; as if it was not a big deal. We rejected the offer, asked for a refund and never ordered/ate from them again. I try to share the experience with everyone I know. Be very careful eating here. Sorry for the negative review but this more of a community service...

I stopped by because I was in the area and wanted to try something new. The parking lot was tight, but I managed to find a spot. Inside, the restaurant seemed clean, though nothing stood out about the decor. The woman who took my order was friendly for the most part, but there was a bit of confusion when I asked about the boneless chicken. It seemed like they tried their best to accommodate.

As for the food, I ordered boneless chicken, French fries, and veggies. It was prepared quickly and served hot, which I appreciated. The taste was okay, but unfortunately, the chicken wasn’t the highlight of the meal. Surprisingly, the fries and veggies stole the show! The veggies had a nice kick, and the fries were solid.

New to the area! Food is disgusting 🤮 I ordered sesame chicken with veggie fried rice. The rice was over fried tasted like mop water chicken was mushy horrible. My girlfriend got chicken broccoli with white rice. The chicken and broccoli was so salty and the white rice seemed it was from the day before the texture was bad! Do not recommend.
