Papa's Place — Restaurant in Stratford

My first time trying on Uber Eats. I’ve saw this place in the passing numerous time and never bothered to stop. If I can give a 20 star review I would. I love love love love love my meal. I ordered a Cuban sandwich and added lettuce, tomato, mayoketchup, and garlic sauce…my goodness to die for!! The chicken in the grilled strawberry walnut salad wow! So flavorful! & I also ordered an Oreo cake my absolute favorite dessert. The food is phenomenal and definitely cultural. I’m Puerto Rican and there’s not many cultural places left around the area with great, fresh, flavorful food. Also, I’d like to add I’m sorry for the bad reviews they have. It is 2021, food is pricey these days, cost of operations aren’t cheap either…you can’t expect to dine out or take out for free. They’re business is a nice safe location. The food is great. I will never step a foot in this place again. I go with my grandson every day after I pick him up. Last week they mixed up my order. I had to go back and they did fix it. Today the staff was so nasty, I ordered one empanada and a small thing of rice and beans. I explained to the woman who was standing there behind the register in La La Land, but I had to pick up my granddaughter. I could come back for it. She gave me a nasty attitude and said you have to wait. There were two people ahead of me that were waiting for stuff from the back. I explained again I have to pick up my granddaughter from school. Another woman said can I just make it for her so she could go get her granddaughter. The other girl said OK just go ahead and do it like I said I will never ever support this business again you did not treat...

I will start by saying that I love the food here. In person, the staff in the back and the owners are great people. However, I just called and attempted to order a tray of rice and beans. Nothing else. The person who answered the phone wouldn’t even try to make it work. If they let me finish speaking, I would have said I needed it in three hours. Their policy is apparently you have to order it outside of 24 hours. It’s rice. I must say I’m disappointed that they couldn’t make it work as many people are repeat customers and love to support this restaraunt.
