Omg, I wish I would’ve read the recent reviews. So, looking at the food on the bar, it all has this dry, burnt film around everything. The food looked old, but the taste was worse. Have you ever microwaved something too long? This crap tasted like it was microwaved over and over and then placed under heat lamps for a week. I seriously could not even chew the sweet and sour chicken. Chicken and broccoli? All shriveled up and no sauce to be found on it (it obviously had evaporated and dried from all the reheating). Pepper steak is supposed to be brown, right? This crap was the same color as the chicken and broccoli. I would call it grey. General Tao’s was hard and stringy and almost a gold color on the inside and I’m not sure made of actual chicken. I swear, I hope this place isn’t serving dog and cat. Where the hell are the extra napkins? Ever think of asking your patrons if they need anything? Oh! And those little dried noodle appetizers that you eat with duck sauce…they’re in a bowl, and the only way to get some out is to put your fingers in and grab some. My god, that’s gross. I don’t know if Joe Schmo washed his hands after he wiped his butt and then went out and stuck his fingers in the bowl at the Chinese buffet. Save your money and go to the Panda Express across the street. $15 and an undeserved tip wasted, and had to take reglan (nausea meds) when I got home. The health department should shut this restaurant down. WORST Chinese food I’ve ever had, and I’ve been to some...
Read moreBefore I start with the good let me start with the bad (Co-Reviewed w/ SuaveTurner007) FIRST and foremost lets automatically start with the temperature of the food. You guys should Really CHECK or CHANGE your heating stations. It doesn't matter if the food is "sitting out" it should still remain of quality temperature while eating it. Not COLD or LUKEWARM. SECOND you guys have signs over y'all food station telling people to watch the intake of their food consumption due to the inflation of groceries and food waste. We ALL know and feel it in our wallets, however, the point of a buffet in my personal opinion is to try things and taste different combinations of foods to see what fits with their pallet....or not, especially if we as customers are paying an inflated price to dine in at your establishment. I found that very off-putting. Now to the positive things, when new food items were placed on the buffet it was very delicious. For example the fried shrimp on a stick was very good the chicken and broccoli and pepper steak. My rating will definitely be higher next time cause I will go back....I just hoped they've fixed their problem by...
Read moreFantastic Chinese restaurant. Although I've been disenchanted with Chinese buffets in the past, (I am an American born Chinese, raised with quality food cooked at home and in better quality Chinese restaurants in the MD/VA area) I was pleasantly surprised by New Peking. It looks on the outside like a little hole in the wall sort of place, but inside there is a huge, clean buffet with lots of options. There is some of they typical Chinese buffet fare here, but also some well made sushi/sashimi, a stir fry station and some western dishes as well. Every time I go I leave surprised and pleased by the friendliness and efficiency of the staff and of the value that I feel that I get there. The lunch buffet is a shocking deal and the dinner is pretty good as well. I even brought my real-Chinese mother in law there the other week and even SHE was impressed. Check it out- you'll be surprised that there is a pearl like this in little...
