Aladdin's Eatery Strongsville — Restaurant in Strongsville

I've been eating at Aladdin's for well over ten years at other locations...it's one of my favorite restaurants, my family loves it also. I've never ordered from the strongsville location until yesterday. I was desperately craving a farmer's pitza, it's one of my comfort foods. The staff was...unwelcoming when I came inside to pick up my carryout order. When my bag was handed to me I just asked to make sure my baklava was inside and that was apparently offensive because the attitude and the eye roll were WILD. I ordered online so I had planned to check out what desserts were in the display when I got there, and was excited to see peppermint cheesecake. I ordered a piece and then waited ten minutes for it to be put in a box (there was only one person eating in the entire restaurant and three people standing at the counter), but I was excited to eat my food so I just let it go. I got home and my pitza had almost NONE of the incredible fresh veggies that belong on it, just a few tiny diced tomatoes, a few mushrooms and what appeared to be three handfuls of gross brown "fresh" spinach and half a jar of banana peppers... And the cheesecake? Toothpaste flavored. I will continue to eat at the other locations even though they're twice as far as the strongsville store, but I will absolutely NEVER be...

I went to pick up food for my family, arriving at around 9:48 pm, just 12 minutes before closing time. I decided to wait in the car before entering, assuming our food wasn't ready yet. While waiting, a police officer approached my car and knocked on the window, questioning my presence there. I explained that I was there to pick up my food, but he mentioned that ALADDINS EATERY OF STRONGSVILLE had called the police due to a suspicious vehicle parked in a parking space. Despite another car being parked next to me, no action was taken against them. After verifying my order with the staff, the officer left. This incident has left me feeling racially profiled, especially considering that we were regular customers. It is disappointing that the police were called on me, while the other customer was left undisturbed. I have decided to no longer patronize ALADDINS due to this experience, especially since my order was also incorrect. This establishment has lost my family's business.

I'm not saying that Aladdin's is perfect. Every restaurant has room for improvement, but I respect their willingness to ensure that the customer is satisfied. I had a previous order that was incorrect, a mess, BUT this was the first time it has happened in the years I have been eating at the restaurant. I was disappointed and informed them via the online email I received.

They went above and beyond to let me know they "heard" my complaints, even called me to apologize. WoW! I'm BIG on Customer Service and was so impressed and pleased.

I ordered again today and everything was exactly the way I requested. Exact! One mistake will not have me bash them on the Internet. Instead, I say give them a first, second, third chance. It's honestly worth it. The food is so good and there are an abundance of options. I'm still working my way through the entire menu. I keep forgetting dessert.
