Don’t ever work for this company I only worked there for two days and the manager told me I wasn’t a good fit for the company all because I wasn’t moving at a fast pace when it comes with time. I was approached by this other customer who comes in every week and told me they can’t get people to stay for more than a week and every week she comes in notices a different person working there, well I can see why they can’t get people to work there. They only pay 13.00 an hour despite the fact that I have my chef and restaurant certificate they were still paying me that vs everywhere is paying 14-15 an hour for minimum wage and fired me after only two days of working there because I wasn’t moving fast enough. They don't give people a chance and should remove their applications from indeed if they aren’t going to give people a chance. In addition to that, their burgers and fries tastes horrible and the managers there have a bad attitude. The other manager is immature who fired me for only working there for 2 days and looks like he could be a high school student. One manager told me the dress code policy how I should be wearing black jeans, black shirt, with a belt and the shirt has to be tucked in that’s fine if everyone follows that rule but not everyone was and this company shows favoritism. The other girl who works there was wearing black sweatpants with a pair of crocks it’s ok for her to wear that but it’s a problem when one day I came in with only wearing the wrong shoes and I was literally sent home all because I wore the wrong shoes vs the other girl can get away with wearing sweat pants and crocks? it was all because she was friends with the manager. I’ve never worked for such an unprofessional company before in my life. From day one when I started working there I didn’t feel welcomed at all. I was trying to have conversations trying to get to know the people who I’m working with while we were slow and was yelled at to get back to work when we were so dead that I got done with everything as far as wiping down all the tables and chairs and taking out the trash. I tried sweeping up the kitchen and got yelled at for that because I was told I needed to be upfront by the cash registers even though I could clearly see who walks in. I even went as far as to ask the manager if there was anything else that needed to be done and she shrugged her shoulders or if anyone needed help with anything I was willing to help out. It was bad for me to have a conversation with a new person who started working there, but here’s both the managers who were sitting in the office just talking and doing absolutely nothing including my manager who fired me after only working there for two days who looks like a high school student and is clearly immature and shows favoritism and the other one who kept on criticizing me the whole time when I worked there. I understand constructive criticism but I was constantly getting criticized and never even had a smile on their faces when they would see me walk in or welcome me there or try to talk to me while I’m working. Wow, I’ve worked at Tacobell and other fast food places and never had any problems other than when I started...
Read moreThis was my first visit to this location. I used to go to the Streetsboro location when it first opened, but hadn’t tried this one yet. To be honest, I was a little leery seeing maybe two cars in the parking lot and no customers inside, but I was hungry so went in anyway. So glad I did! I was immediately greeted by a staff member at the register who then waited patiently while I decided what to order. While waiting on food, I remarked to an employee who had just finished cleaning the restroom that it was my friend’s first time at Freddy’s. She, Renee, the manager, said we picked a good night to come because she had come up from Cincinnati to reform service and standards at this location. (Ok, now I’m extra leery. How bad was this place that they had to bring someone up from Cincinnati to fix it?) I mentioned visiting the Streetsboro location and she mentioned two employees in the kitchen were from there, and two others were brand new hires. Everyone waved and said hi, etc. I was pleasantly surprised when we got our food and it looked and smelled amazing. I had ordered a #1, double cheeseburger with added tomato and lettuce (free add-ons at this restaurant, unlike other chains). To anyone complaining about the “flat” burgers, Freddy’s serves smash burgers, which aren’t thick like regular ones. Mine was nicely seasoned, with lettuce/tomato/pickle that were cold, as they should be, while the burger was hot off the flat top. Fries were lightly salted and piping hot as well. Everything looked appetizing, and tasted better! All was much better than McDonald’s or Burger King, and well worth the purchase price. Music was at a reasonable volume, and while we could hear the kitchen staff (as the only people in the dining room), no one was being obnoxious or overly loud. The restaurant was clean and smelled pleasant, no odor of smoke or old fryer oil. In fact, the whole time we were there, something was being cleaned or restocked. Renee even came by the table to make sure everything was to our liking, something I appreciated. We later overheard her talking to staff, basically an “end of shift briefing”, thanking them for coming in and working hard, especially those who had made the drive from Streetsboro. I won’t share everything she said, but I will say that this is someone I would be happy to work for, and whose exhibited management style exceeds that of most people I have worked for before. I will definitely come back again! Thank you to Renee and tonight’s staff for a fantastic late...
Read moreI highly respect other reviews for Freddy's. I can see how these mishaps could have happened in the past. I've seen how their tables were not wiped down, less care.
Fast forward to present time. I had to give them 5 stars this time. As soon as we came in, we were greeted with happy energetic hello's. I looked around and the tables were clean and the dining area was organized. I stepped up to the cashier to place my order, my husband followed with his order. I sat down to wait for my order to be up. My husband came back from using the restroom and he said that it was so clean. After just a little while one of the employee came with a tray. He was serving our food directly to our table. We told him we could have picked it up. He was happy to bring us our order. Since I placed my order with allergy notations, he said your food was made carefully and we didn't salt it much. He asked would you like salt, I said I'll get it! He said no, it's ok I will get it. I asked him his name and he told me, my name is Issac. The burgers were so delicious and shoestring fries perfect. Afterwards we asked our ice creams on hold. This time Gilbert made our ice creams and brought it over to our table. These two young men were the MOST respectful I've ever seen in a LONG time. It was yes ma'm, thank you, I'll help you! I loved it and they have no clue how they made me feel that there is hope in our service industry. God Bless these young men and the parents who raised them. As we walked out the crew from the back, made it a point to show their faces and thanked us for visiting. I know that this crew made the delicious fresh food we ate.
I say 100% go give this new crew an opportunity...
