My husband and I stopped in this week. We arrived about 1:40. Our order was taken and we received our meal about 1:50. At 2:00 we were told they were closing. A take home box was put on our table and we were asked to pay the bill. We hardly had begun eating, one reason being I was given the wrong dressing so I waited for the one I requested. I was suppose to receive garlic bread , I had to wait for the waitress to return to the area so I could ask for it , she returned with 2 stale rolls because they didn’t have garlic bread. They then proceeded to sweep the floor in the area where we were eating. The dust they were pushing around was very troublesome to my husband who is a veteran on a scooter and suffers from COPD. We have never been treated so rudely......RESPONSE TO OWNER...........My receipt shows 2:19. We were ASKED to pay before 2:19. The server never said we could take our time to finish our meal, she put a carry out dish on our table. They were sweeping at the table next to ours and as you know your tables are very close. Why would the server ask if I Wanted garlic bread when it was Clearly stated on the menu that garlic bread was included?........SECOND RESPONSE TO OWNER..........Perhaps you should add a statement on your menu advising your customers to ask the server if items included in their selection will be served. Example....garlic bread, salad, soup, bread, potatoes, veggies, etc. in case the server forgets to ask if the customer wants what is offered in their selection, to be sure it won’t be wasted if they are not going to eat it or take it home due to dieting, gluten intolerance, lactose intolerance, allergies, or any other intolerance. When I dine out I expect it to be a pleasurable experience. A customer should not need to discuss each item in their menu selection, to be sure it will be served as stated, just in case the server forgets to ask the customer if they are sure they want what they are ordering. ....The server put a carry out dish on our table which we DID NOT request. If she said “no rush” she must have whispered it. No, we will not be returning and I will advise everyone I know not to patronize your...
Read moreedit for owners response; what other restaurant is named jennifer’s in strongsville? if you offer that entire meal for 8.99 then why is toast, bacon, and potatoes near $11 ordered as sides? i was there wednesday august 7th, ordered by phone pickup, name - justin - order - side potatoes side toast side bacon. screen listed bacon as 3.99, toast 2.99, and potatoes 3.99 might be 30 cents off but it was near $11. think 10.57 total. your bacon is not fresh, and your bread was not the way you just described it. it was 2 small, smashed together white slices of cheap bread. and the bacon was not quality cut or fresh. it looked and tasted pre cooked/microwave box consistency. should’ve grabbed a picture of it because i’ve been noticing owners from restaurants discrediting poor reviewers by acting like they somehow have the wrong place.
food is subpar. overpriced. $10.57 for toast, bacon, potatoes. price should be cut in half. toast is reminiscent of 99 cent wonder bread, bacon is microwave quality, potatoes are dry flavorless scallop like appearance. place is dingy and dirty. don't understand the high reviews at all, until it suddenly hit me that society is fed garbage. that's all they know. good breakfast joints don't exist in...
Read moreMy wife and I were looking for a smaller diner feel and found Jennifer's as a recommendation. It is not a small restaurant at all, but the service gives that small finer feel! We had a great conversation about the history of the restaurant, it's move from one location to another & how amazing the entire staff is! My wife ordered the Zorba omelette, homefries & wheat toast. I order sausage & cheese omelette, home fries, wheat toast & 2 pancakes. All of the food was great! Zorba describes packed with spinach & feta, which couldn't be more true. My wife kept stating that it was so buttery. My sausage & cheese omelette was packed with toppings. Both omelettes took up half of our platter style plate! The homefries are amazing. I could easily make a meal of just those! Just the right amount of caramellized crunch on both sides of a perfectly balanced chunk/pastey potatoes! They were not dried out by any means! Pancakes were perfect in size and tasted good as well. I always say that it is hard to screw up breakfast, but apparently I had a lot to say about Jennifer's, so i must have had it screwed up in the past! We will absolutely be back soon for more...
