Edit-Upon posting this, I also noticed that there are quire a few people had a rude experience from the Manager as per the other reviews posted here.
We have been going there regularly from past few years. But recently, it feels like they are getting too greedy for whatever reason.
Yesterday we went for a family dinner with my son and his fiancé along with her mom and brother. Surprisingly, between 6 of us, they gave a one small bowl of chips and salsa only. It was difficult for everyone to reach for chips and share from a small bowl so we asked for another bowl of chips. Initially, it felt like our server ignored so we had to ask some other server but she informed us that they are allowed to give only one bowl per table. I had to tell them, to not worry and we will pay for another bowl, if we have to. Upon saying that, we were served with another bowl. The main reason for sharing this- our surprise came when the bill came. Unfortunately, I had forgotten my glasses so couldn't check the items, so I asked my son to verify the details. Since, he had his fiancé with us and her family for the first time with us, so he didn't wanted to feel embarrassed and he told me that it looks ok. From the total amount, I had a feeling that there was something wrong. Upon reaching home, I checked the receipt and found that they had charged us for the same drink $24.00 by adding 3 different ingredients separately. On top of that they had also charged for a small extra bowl of chips another $6.00. So, I called and spoke to the Manager, but surprisingly, he told us that he can't do anything since we didn't mentioned anything at the time of paying. As per him, one of us had more than one drink and that was not true since we all had just one drink except my wife who never ordered any drinks at all. So either they charged someone else drink by mistake or they were not ready to accept waitress's mistake who already had a problem of understanding most of the English. He even told me on the phone that he doesn't care if we take our business somewhere else. This attitude from a Manager/owner says that how greedy and disrespectful they are.
So, please check your receipts details before you make any payments. For me, I am never going there anyway.
This is in reply to the response that Owner gave here.
I am sure your server doesn't need to remember who ordered what but she needs to put it in your system that information as soon as she receives it. It is simple to understand from other reviews as well that what kind of rude attitude you have so your employees will also show the same to the customers.
By the way, I am not a restaurant owner but I do go to eat at different restaurants very often but never experienced this kind of rude attitude even from an owner. And, yes I do have a business nearby and I do know how to treat/respond to my customers and same for my...
Read moreOn one hand, the food and atmosphere aren’t too bad, but the customer service was less than stellar. My sister and I went here, and she asked if she could order off the kids menu because she wasn’t too hungry. The waitress said sure, but there’d be a $2 extra charge for it. She didn’t mind, we both ate our food, and when the bill came, she tried to charge an extra $10 on top of the $7.50 that her food was worth, or $17.50 total just for that. We were flabbergasted, but what shocked us more was that she tried to defend herself and claim that she actually said $10 before, and that two and ten sometimes sound similar. After talking to the manager, we found out we were right and the waitress was completely wrong, and were subtracted the extra charge plus the $7.50 charge in an effort to compensate. I must admit that was a fair attempt to fix the situation, and it makes my feelings writing this now feel a little mixed, but the icing on top was that the waitress’ apology was insincere and she still thought she was right and showed attitude when my sister said she wasn’t tipping her. If you have an employee that can’t admit their mistakes and give a sincere apology when it’s THEIR fault, they should NOT be in the service sector. Period. If I was a manager, I would have a stern talking to her about whether or not she values having her job, and if anyone from management reads this, I’d be more than happy to discuss further. Seriously, not our best experience.
Edit: Well thanks for the response anyway. Yes we’re all human and we all make mistakes. But what I find slightly surprising is that you feel I’m unjust or unfair about sharing my experience on an online platform and rating the restaurant as a whole, instead of just the single employee involved. When you’re a business owner and you hire someone to service your customers, that employee then represents your company. Their actions and performance reflects on customers company experience as a whole. That’s how literally all reviews work. I didn’t write that because someone was simply mistaken or had an attitude. I wrote it because she blatantly lied about something she said and then tried to deny it. Thats not a mistake, it’s a choice. That’s worth sharing. But yes, all things aside from that single isolated incident, everything else about the visit was pretty good. I wouldn’t put it out of my head to go...
Read moreUpdate added 4/10: A credit was NEVER offered. If it was i would have accepted that to try your restaurant again. Check my reviews, i dont bad mouth companies unless they give me a horrible experience. The fact that you are now calling me a liar, when no credit or refund was offered, is further proof of your lack of prefessionalism.
I am absolutely appalled at my treatment by Diego tonight. I used google maps to find a new mexican restaurant to try and found casa tequila. Used the website linked on the restaurant profile to view the menu and place an order for 3 meals.
Ordered the 3 tacos with ground beef. The website does not have any place to add toppings to the taco and no toppings listed in the item description; it did have an entire list of items to exclude. We excluded the unwanted items and left cheese, lettuce and sour cream unchecked. I assumed the tacos came with basic toppings. I received ground beef on a tortilla with absolutely nothing else on it, 3 of them just beef.
Also ordered the steak and chicken fajita combo. Received a container of meat and peppers with a side of rice (I didn't want the beans). I did not receive any tortillas or toppings for the fajitas. Nothing at all.
I called and asked for the manager and when Diego came on I explained the error. He tried to tell me the reason I received no toppings on my tacos was because I had said no to too many items. The same reason was given for my missing fajita items.
He finally said he could remake the food, but I am feeding 4 children and couldn't make another trip across town. I asked for a credit for a future visit or refund instead and he then started arguing that he has had no other complaints ever, so my complaint wasn't valid.
I give honest reviews. I expect honest service. If the website is incorrect then it either needs to be fixed or unlinked from their profile. It's 2025 and not having control of your digital ordering is a poor excuse and bad customer service. I spent good money trying a new place and even though the food I received correctly was tasty, the horrible attitude of the manager Diego ensures I will not return.
Don't order online...
