Five Below — Local services in Stuart

We frequent the Stuart location as it is one of my daughter’s favorites. We were there today since she received a $50 gift card to spend from Xmas. She’s almost 12 and I’m working on teaching her budgeting. She also had another gift card to add to balance if needed. As she kept piling the items into her basket I kept telling her - “Your adding up amounts right? You have $50 to spend.” She many times said yes I am. Knowing she was well over $75 I told her that I think she’s over her budget. She said no I’m not, it’s like $65 and I have the other card. Ok. We get in line and the cashier rings everything up and bagged it. A whopping $120 at five below SMH. My daughter turned and stared at me. I had let her know I wasn’t covering the difference prior to shopping so pick stuff she really wanted. She was embarrassed when she realized she didn’t have enough and I said I guess you have to put stuff back. She started looking thru bags apologizing to cashier who was the most kind and patient woman I’ve encountered in quite some time. She was very nice and sympathetic to my daughter. She voided the whole transaction and they started added item by item watching the total. SHE WAS TRULY AMAZING WITH HER PATIENCE WHILE TRYING TO TEACH A YOUNG GIRL ABOUT SPENDING AND BUDGETING. This is a great store! Not only because it's 5 below but the staff and particularly the manager and nite staff! They really go above and beyond. They always greet as soon as you walk in and actually offer to help if u need it. I had an issue with a purchase and was pretty positive they would give me the runaround. Not so! The cashier, though unable to help me and despite me obviously prepared to just deal with it..be audr it was as much my fault as the product, offered to grab a manager to see what she could do...the manager , despite knowing it was completely acceptable if she told me to handle the issue by contacting corporate, spent time looking up my reciept and going through the issues any possible way she could. Most would have just washed their hands of it! Thank you again! It's so nice to see people actually want to help and do their jobs! 5 stars...

Their limit of 4 policy on squishable toys is ridiculous especially during holidays when people have multiple family members to buy for. I asked a manager if I could buy 6 because I was looking for a gift that all of my younger nieces and nephews from age 3 to 14 would like so there wouldn't be anyone disappointed that someone got something different. I had planned to get 6 gift cards for their store as well plus had other things in my basket. She told me to buy 4 and come back the next day to buy 2 more. I was not able to come back and what is the difference if it's less than 24 hours between purchases. So the nearly $225 purchase and my regular business to this store has...
