First Watch — Restaurant in Stuart

To begin with, this was my first visit off a referral from a friend and I dined around 9am on a Tuesday morning.

The hostest, Jessica, was very welcoming and prompt in the seating. There was coffee on my table within minutes of being seated and my waitress was tentative and pleasant.

The restaurant has a very open atmosphere and is spread out very nicely. Everything appeared very clean and Covid concerns were addressed with masks and ample distance.

The menu was endless and it was hard to decide on what to get. I ordered the Biscuits with Sausage Gravy, Seasoned Potatoes, and Eggs your way. It arrived at a Nascar speed and its presentation was excellent.

The following probably has more so to do with my preference of how I like my egg cooked than the chief. I ordered my eggs over medium as I like a little consistency to the yoke and only a slight runny yoke. They were more over easy than anything. I chalk this sort of thing up to personal preference and people's different ideas of what over easy or medium might be.

With that being said, the food was still amazing. Presentation, seating, openness of the restaurant, and friendliness of the staff all earned 5 stars in my book and make up for an egg that wasn't cooked quite the way I wanted it. Jessica even discounted my meal after she asked how everything was upon my exit.

DO NOT ORDER FOR DELIVERY!!!! The First Watch website says they deliver however the first time I ordered I never received the food and it took me 3 weeks of several calls to management to get my money back. Then I tried it again, this time calling them 30 minutes before it was to be delivered to make sure my food was coming, and was first told " We Don't Deliver" I then explained that I ordered on "THEIR" website, and asked to speak to a manager. The manger told me they had no such order, and he did not know if it would be coming in or not. He said they use several different third party companies and had no idea how to help me. 9.30 came (The delivery Time scheduled) and still no food. I called back and again was told there was no order, and asked them to please make the food and I would pick it up. When I arrived and called to let them know I was there in "Curbside Pickup", I was told they don't have curbside pick-up. I then explained that Im in a blue truck parked in the parking spot in front of the restaurant which is marked with a bug banner " First Watch Curbside Pick-up", so then said ok and hung up. 20 minutes later someone came out and brought me the food with saying a word at all. Very rude! I will NEVER order from this place again! (By the way, I paid $5.00 for delivery and $5.00 tip when I paid online which I was not...

I had never even heard of this place untill my wife took me there and oh boy was in for a treat. This place is what you get when you dust off Cracker Barrel, add a super friendly staff, and incorporate a great, not to big, healthy menu.

The staff opened the door for my family as we approached and greeted us like we were regulars. As we were shown to out table, other servers started greeting us making us feel like family. I initially order a dish and the server noticed I was really excited for it and to my surprise, she slickly steered me away from it. I was shocked because I have never had a server do this. I won't say what dish but she advised me that she just wanted me to be happy so I ordered something else and all I can say is wow!!!! The orange juice was fresh, the food was beautifully presented, the eggs we cooked perfect, and coffee was fresh. And on a side note, the million dollar bacon was totally worth a million dollars!!!! Yummmy!!

Over all I was blown away. Where has this place been hiding? My family enjoyed it Soo much, we went back the next day ;)
