Sweet Smoke Southern Kitchen — Restaurant in Stuart

My husband and I finally stopped at this restaurant passing several times while out and about, noticing it was busy all the time. So we made a plan to have dinner there Thursday night . When we went in we we're greeted right away. Brought to our table. Immediately Sherry our waitress comes over and says hello. The biggest smile . Very pleasant. Welcomed us and asked for our drink order. Sherry let us know that on Thursday 16 oz beers are $1.99 and it was burger Thursday with cheese if wanted and one side for $8.99. What a deal, I did have to admit even tho that sounded wonderful we came in to try the Brisket, which comes with 2 sides and Texas toast. Fantastic. We ordered the brisket , beans, and Cole slaw. My husband ordered brisket, mashed potatoes and gravy, which I have to mention are real mashed potatoes. It didn't take very long for our food to arrive which was delicious!! . The beer was cold always a good thing. We ate every bit. Sherry came to check on us a few times making sure we we're happy and everything was good. After we we're finished I was full but very intrigued about the dessert menu which they do not list you have to ask . Well we asked of course. I'm glad we did there we're 4 or 5 choices which are home made on premises ,this is why no dessert menu is available. It does change depending on Margie the owner and her husband. I ordered the coconut pie which I was hesitant because I don't really like the standard coconut pie. Sherry assured me it is home made and delicious. So based on the quality of the food I had to order it. I was AMAZED at the coconut in this pie and texture with delicious whip cream on top. Full of coconut and not to sweet at all. Even the crust was amazing. This will be my favorite pie dessert from now on. My husband had peach cobbler with vanilla ice cream on the side. It was delicious and full of peaches. Sherry also told us on Mondays during 6 to 8 p.m. they play bingo for prizes . Tuesday I think is trivia. Wednesday is wing night. Thursday is burger and beer deal as I mentioned before. Friday and Saturday I can't remember lol. Sunday is half price appetizers. I also have to mention they have a salad bar and soup which you can add 1 meat for a great deal. I'm pretty sure I'll be back on a Monday to try the ribs and play bingo. They also offered a salmon special that Thursday and a couple of other specials. I'm pretty sure they have children's portions but don't quote me on that. Check out their menu online. To close I have to say Sweet Smoke restaurant was very clean. You can just tell from the time you walk in until you leave this restaurant is family owned .The owners have been in the restaurant business for over 30 yrs. You can tell by the care and quality of the food fares they offer. Our family has been in the food business for over 50 yrs in Rhode Island which is still going very strong with 3 generations working, so we know a great restaurant when we find one. I am revising my review from one star to three stars following a recent interaction with the owner of the establishment. After experiencing a disappointing lack of service during my lunch break yesterday, I was pleased to receive a sincere apology from the owner regarding the issues we encountered with the staff.

The owner took the time to reach out to me personally and address the concerns I had raised. Their willingness to listen to feedback and take steps to improve the customer experience was commendable. I appreciate the effort made to rectify the situation and ensure that future visits are more enjoyable.

While the initial experience fell short of expectations, I am willing to give this establishment another chance based on the owner's proactive response and commitment to customer satisfaction. I hope to see positive changes in the service quality moving forward.

I recently visited Sweet Smoked Southern Kitchen in Stuart, Florida, and unfortunately, my experience left much to be desired. After waiting in the drive-through for over 30 minutes, I was served two pork combos that were disappointingly cold. The lack of attention to ensuring hot, fresh food for customers is simply unacceptable.

The inefficiency of the drive-through service was incredibly frustrating. I could have easily gone inside to dine and finished my meal in a shorter amount of time than I spent waiting in line. It is evident that the drive-through customers are not a priority for this establishment, as the wait times are unnecessarily long.

After reading other reviews, it appears that this is a recurring issue at Sweet Smoked Southern Kitchen, which is concerning. The disregard for drive-through customers and their time is simply unacceptable. If you are looking to grab a quick meal during your lunch break and return to work promptly, I strongly advise against wasting your time at this establishment.

The food is decent. The service it’s very good . This is not the first time that I have dined alone and I am Finding that when dining Solo you are seated at a table where the waiter or waitress has little to no experience. I guess they do that so the newbie gets a feel and knowledge to catering to only one person. My side dish was incorrect and not fresh. The main dish also was incorrect. I didn’t complain about the side dish, but The main dish I did mention, they were nice enough to did give me a credit on my bill. Also when you order meats should receive a steak knife, but that didn’t happen either. What I have also noticed here and other places in this area that Before you finish your appetizer they have your main course on the table. Personally I feel like I’m being rushed . I was waiting for my doggy bag but I got the bill instead I had to ask may I please have a doggy bag oh I forgot was the answer I received. So People who dine solo please make sure in the future that you ask for an experienced and qualified staff member to serve you .
