Pei Wei Asian Kitchen — Restaurant in Stuart

Ordered take out as I was serving 8 of us after not having power for two days due to hurricane. All of us really looking forward to a cooked meal and several staying at our home had never eaten pei wei. Ordered online and total was 124 dollars for 8 entrees and 2 green bean sides. Well worth it in my mind even though it’s basically fast food but we were so happy to be able to have it as kitchen a mess and I was feeding 6 college students who had to vacate schools due to Milton. My husband picked up in Stuart and brought it home to us in Palm city. First thing I noticed was the 4 bourbon chickens all were same and none had a GF sticker on it. I specifically ordered 1 from GF menu as I have celiac disease. Second thing was we were short one entree. Only 7 in the bag but my husband didn’t realize as the green beans were in similar entree containers. I called right away and Katie said she was sorry. She said they couldn’t send me a new one and have it delivered bc they use a delivery service but I could order it again online and she’d credit me. While on the phone with her I did that so she could see my order and I again paid - this time an additional $12.54. She also said they should have put GF sticker on my food order but promised it was all GF on the bourbon chicken. But when I asked about the Thai donuts on the online site, she said she didn’t know. Not real confident of their ability to truly keep things GF if manager doesn’t even know the menu. So I waited for missing entree I paid twice for. Over an hour went by and still no food came. I called back and Katie discovered my food still there as she said it should have been delivered. She apologized again and said she’d call delivery service. Guess what? Food Never Arrived!!!At 9:44 pm, over 2 1/2 hrs from initial order, I called restaurant and it had already closed. So not only did I never get the hot meal, but I paid for it twice. Will not be recommending this place and hopefully can get my bank to credit the card I paid with. Oh, and definitely feeling the effects of eating something not GF as I’ve been sick the last hour from eating the “ Safe - GF food”. Definitely would not recommend this place to people watching their gluten sensitivities or worse- like me with Celiacs....

I’ve been going to the Stuart Pei wei for a long time. I would say 8 years. The food has always been delicious. My last 3 visits with in the past month have been nothing but disappointment. I have called to place a to-go order on 3 different occasions only to listen to an endless ring. I don’t use the online ordering because i can’t customize the order to my liking so I am forced to call or go up there. I have a 9 month old baby, so to avoid her possibly throwing a fit and disturbing the customers I get the food to go and eat it at home. The past 2 visits I have had to place my order to go and wait for them to cook and prep it. This time I was so livid I just decided to dine in. While waiting 10 or more minutes to place my order the phone did not ring one time. When I finally got to the cashier to place my order I asked if they have been having problems with the phone. His response was no I’m just busy, I’m the only one here. So after placing my order and waiting for my food, I decided to call the restaurant and see what happens. The phone inside the restaurant never rang nobody answered but my phone just kept ringing! Furthermore the place was down right disgusting! The tables were dirty, the high chairs were sticky and nasty, there were no clean forks, I was forced to use chop sticks. I asked to speak to a manager. He came over and tried to explain that they have been having technical difficulties (For a whole month?). He also said that he was understaffed and that it wasn’t his fault. I don’t know what’s going on with this in particular location, but I will say that do to the lack of service and professionalism you have lost yourself a long time customer. I will not be returning to the Stuart pei wei and I wouldn’t recommend...

I haven't tried everything on the Pei Wei menu, but I do feel like I've tried enough of their menu to offer a reasonably informed opinion on the food they serve. As for appetizers, there are a couple different choices I would be happy to have every day of the week. I love their lettuce wraps with minced chicken as well as their crab wontons with duck sauce. The lettuce wraps are a popular menu item at P.F. Chang's, but at Pei Wei you can enjoy the same flavors without having to wait an hour to get a table and they are $1.50 less expensive! And the crab wontons are $3 cheaper!

If I ever decide to skip the appetizers, it's not a big deal because there are plenty of great entree choices that offer large portions. The noodle bowls are excellent, and I especially enjoy the Chicken Pad Thai bowl and the Chicken Lo Mein bowl. You can pick from chicken, beef, shrimp, or vegetables to put in the different bowls, but I usually prefer chicken as my meat of choice in Asian cuisine. The amount of food offered in the bowls is plenty for two people to share, or a good choice if you want to take home leftovers for another couple meals. Not bad when two people can share a meal for about $8.

Pei Wei also features a section on the menu called "Signature Dishes," which I'm guessing are the popular entree items offered at P.F. Chang's. These dishes offer a good combination of thai, chinese, japanese, and korean cuisine, along with a good mix of spicy and mild variety. I've tried the Honey Seared Chicken and the Mongolian Beef and enjoyed both. These dishes come with either brown or white rice and the concept is similar to P.F. Chang's in that they are big enough for one person or you could order a few dishes with a group and share...
