Fatzo's Subs & Pizza of Sturgeon Bay — Restaurant in Sturgeon Bay

This is my first time in the area and like many other Midwestern towns people are super friendly, except for this place. The poor and unprofessional attitudes started the moment we entered. The only reason is perhaps my forgetting to wear a mask. The cashier, who was wearing one and standing behind plexy glass, copped an extream attitude asking me to put one on which I complied. We ordered our food at which time we were ordered to wait in our vehicle. Again we complied without saying anything. Another employee came out and literally threw the bag of subs into the vehicle. I did ask if if they were having a bad day, at which time the employee marched over to the our vehicle looking for a confrontation. She was told to stop and move back, that did not happen. A few choice words were used by me to prevent further movment by her towards our vehicle. There is and was absolutely no reason for either of these two employees to behave in this manner. I will not rate the subs as the foul taste left in my mouth by this experience far outweighed any pleasure I might have experienced...

I'm more on the 3.75 starts. I went there for a pizza but the wait was 20 minutes. Although reasonable time to cook a pizza I was looking for something quicker. I was convinced by the cashier to change my mind from a deluxe pizza to a "pizza sub". After buying I realized it is just pizza sauce, cheese and pepperoni.. Well at least it would be quick! Sadly 15 minutes go by before my sub is ready. It consists of a 8" piece of bread, light portion of melted cheese and light portion of pepperoni. Something that could easily have been prepared in under 3 minutes. I have to say though even though it was a lot smaller portion than what I was expecting, it was still tasty! Have to give the place 4 stars though because of the hole in the wall restaurant feel and the fact that I got one of the simplest things on the menu to make and it was still good! Definitely trying the pizza next...

Fatzo’s Subs is an absolute gem! The vast array of choices on their menu is impressive, making it a great spot for anyone with diverse tastes. We decided to try the 16-inch gyro, and it was nothing short of amazing. The flavors were perfectly balanced, and the portion size was more than generous.

The customer service was top-notch as well. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful, ensuring we had everything we needed and making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in.
