I visited this location on 6/3/2017. I grew up in southwest Michigan and I visited home for the first time in a while. The Mancino's in my hometown of Benton Harbor closed a few years ago, so we made the stop at the Sturgis location on the way back to Pittsburgh. We were greeted by one of the employee's, Evan, who was very kind and courteous. My mom, who wasn't with us for our trip, absolutely loves Mancino's grinders; specifically, the Italian grinder with only ham, sausage, salami, cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and extra mayo. Absolutely no onion, she has a deadly allergy to it. Evan took great care to make these sandwiches for my mom without the onion (it usually comes with it) and packed them for our remaining 5+ hour trip. All in all, we picked up 4 or 5 whole sandwiches to take with us. It was absolutely delicious and even now, more than a year later, I can still remember that sandwich and the wonderful hospitality we received from the staff at the Sturgis Mancino's. The next time I visit home, I will be stopping at Mancino's on the way IN and OUT of town. I can't wait!!! If you haven't tried it, you absolutely must. Go for a grinder, perhaps an Italian one at that! You will NOT be...
Read moreFirst visit here tonight and it will mot be our last! I was hungry, bordering on hangry, but 2 bites in on the hot loaded potato wedges and I was in heaven! A Chicago Steak Grinder was a perfect match, and even tho I ordered the 1/2 it was HUGE! The seasoning on the steak was perfect, garlic butter & cheesy goodness! And best of all the bread, just melt in your mouth delicious… kinda like grandmas bread meets Italian grinder! And everything was hot! My hubby had the Chicken Bacon Ranch Grinder and said it was great. He ate all of his, but I have leftovers for later. Also brought home a pepperoni pizza, cinnamon pizza and a couple cookies. ( Im painting tomorrow, so I planned ahead!). All of that at a reasonable price, served up by some nice folks! I’ll review that pizza under a separate review tomorrow after dinner, but it looks...
Read moreIf I could afford to be on “my 600lb life” this is where I would go to achieve that feat. Everything is fantastic from the food and atmosphere, to the amazing employees and ownership. Just recently I decided to take a little trip off my beaten path of the Carnivore and Pride pizzas and got this Chicken Bacon Ranch pizza that you see pictured here, courtesy of the spank bank. It was a climactic experience to say the least and I think about it often. So often that I’m probably going to have to order one tonight to tame the beast in me. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu though for real. And if you’re a fan of grinders they give you 16” of pure bliss. And 16” is better than a a tiny little 12. Let Mancinos feed...
