My trip to firehouse subs last night was a big big mistake. My 1st clue should have been when the guy said no one had ordered a salad all day.
When my order was called I looked in the bag and saw a very small sad looking salad. I said this is suppose to be a tuna salad. The young lady said " the tuna is on the bottom". One would think that with such a small salad the tuna would be visible. I said to myself that I was being unreasonable because I was hungry. So decided to accept the salad thinking I would be satisfied once I ate it. I ask what kinda salad dressing had she put on the salad. She said she didn't know what kind I wanted. She provided me with 2 very tiny cups of dressing. When I say tiny they were tiny, maybe something u would put salt and pepper in.
When I get to the car still concerned about the small salad and questioning if tuna is really on my tuna salad. I decide to examine it for evidence of tuna. I realize I have no fork. Thinking it will not be a good look for me to go back in the store. (I'm now very angry, thinking I'm been had) I take the salad thinking this will be my last visit here. See, I could've gotten a cheaper and a better looking salad at Wendy's (which I passed to get to firehouse).
When I get home... oh, the angry sets in. There is very little lettuce and a sprinkle of tuna I would say a teaspoon or so, not much more. I've had tuna salads from firehouse before and it has always been worth the money and more. This was ridiculous.
I go back to the store to get a refund. When I come in 3 guys (customers) start laughing, one of them ask me if some thing was wrong with my salad. The staff is avoiding eye contact. The guy that took my order ask another guy if he knew how to make a tuna salad (he was not there for the 1st transaction) no one has acknowledged my present. I say I don't want another salad. I would like my money and the manager's name and phone number. The entire time the customers (the 3 guys who I think are friends of at least one of the staff members) are joking and laughing about my order. The staff are NOT outwardly laughing be they are trying hard not to laugh out loud.
I get my money the gentleman ask how else can I help you, since I'm still standing there waiting on the manager's phone number and name. He tells me to call the store in the morning. I ask for the managers name is says "Nikki". I ask for her last name he says he did not know her last name. Now in all my working experience I always knew my manager last name. I might not have known the 1st name but the last name yeah. Oh, and at no time did anyone apology.
Teachable moment Tell the customer you aren't sure how to make a tuna salad Take responsibility if and when things don't go well Put at least one mature person on duty at all time. Someone that know what customer service is. These...
Read moreThis location is getting worse and worse. There is always a problem when i come which makes my visits now few and far in between. I came inside and saw that the Rapid Rescue shelf was empty so I sat down to wait for my food as they have instructed me to do in the past. I was waiting for about 10 minutes when someone else walked in. She asked me if I was waiting for a to-go order and I told her yes so she sat down beside me. Almost immediately the manager asked her who she was picking up for and gave her the food. He then proceeded to go back to making food. I had to then get up and go tell him that I was also waiting on my food. That is ridiculous. She didn't say a word to them yet he was very quick and efficient in asking her what she needed. He acted as if I wasn't even there and I had been there for over 10mins at this point. I am extremely disappointed. The customer service really needs to be addressed here.
The service has gotten no better, these kids do not know how to speak. And of course the "firehouse listens" survey "is no longer available" according to the website. That means yall didn't care to begin with. Nothing was changing and now the survey is no longer available? Yall know the service is terrible, that's why you shut it down. Because yall get too many bad reviews. I suggest everyone find a better location. This one is terrible and will...
Read moreI use to eat at Firehouse Subs on College Drive in Suffolk all the time because the service and food was always great. My Philly Steak Sub was always fresh, hot, and good. It was one of my favorite spots to eat, and now it's not. I live 3 minutes from the location on College Drive, and use delivery most of the time. Now the food is never hot, the bread is harder than it use to be, they cut the bread all the way through and everything drops out of the bottom and sides when trying to eat it. The meat isn't chopped good like it use to be, so you get chunks on the sandwich, it's never fixed as requested, and when I call the store to request something to be added on or removed from the sandwich, it's hard to understand what the person on the phone is saying, and get a reply with a seemingly attitude having to repeat themselves. I won't be eating at Firehouse Subs (College Drive Location) unless the food and service goes back to what...
