Panda Express — Restaurant in Suffolk

This was my first time going to one of the actual restaurants around here, as the only time I have ever been to a Panda Express was at Kings Dominion back in September 2017 and I was not impressed at that location either. The noodles were dry and the sauce had no flavor, everything was very bland. This time, I decided against noodles and chose instead to get the beef and broccoli bowl with fried rice. Two of my friends were with me and both ordered plates. They were out of the main dishes all three of us wanted, but offered to go ahead and take our order and then bring it to us when it was finished, which we were fine with. Paid, sat down. 20 minutes later, still nothing. We watched as new dishes were put out and other people were getting their food, and they were almost out once again, but still no one got our food ready. We finally brought it to their attention and they apologized and got us our food, and again I was very dissatisfied. The rice was hard and there was barely any sauce at all, but what sauce there was had no flavor once again. The beef and broccoli would have been 100 times better if there was actually some kind if seasoning or flavor to it. It had been a good two years since I had been here. We came all the way up here from downtown Suffolk and was not impressed. I don't think we were greeted when we walked in and there was hardly any food on display. Most of the bowls were empty. I got the bigger pate with white rice. I really wanted Kung Pao chicken but that was all out. I got orange chicken and Beijing beef. The chicken teriyaki was all out so I told them I'd come back for it. I paid and went and sat down. I opened up my tray and the white rice looked strange. It looked extra puffy. Tried it and it was warm and dry. Not what I was used to. The Beijing beef and orange chicken were decent though. Went and got my chicken teriyaki when I saw it come out. Didn't see the sauce out on display but I asked for some anyways. I was handed a packet of teriyaki sauce. The strange rice kind of ruined the meal. I don't know if it's a new kind of rice or if it's cooked differently or what. The place was clean though and beverage station was...

I only give it a one star because of the area it’s in. Where do I start, when ordered on a Saturday evening, we were told it was going to be a seven minute wait. Twenty minute goes by, sitting in the car, our order still hasn’t came out. I go in explained we’ve been waiting twenty minutes and every other person is walking out with their order. The pleasant cashier explained our order was overlooked because it became busy. Smh. I asked to speak to a manager and wanted a refund. The manager hid behind her cubby office, did not come out and I guess provided the cashier with three coupons for an entree. At this point I’m like fine... Get home, everything surprisingly “tasted” good... then later that night I became very sickly. Went to Patient first the next morning, and was diagnosed with Food Posion. And this was the only thing we ate that day - so it wasn’t anything else. Never have been FOOD POISONED in my life. I would not recommend this location and I probably will never visit a Panda...
