If anybody rates this place negatively, they are lying. if I could give them a million stars , I would. they treat every customer with respect and they make you feel at home (which you can see just by waiting for your food) my fiancé and I travel from North Carolina JUST to eat here. (we’ve replaced ihop with brighter day cafe) our very first time going to this business, they welcomed us in and got to us quickly. we always stop by the door to read the funny signage they have outside the business (if you don’t find It funny, you really have no sense of humor). they don’t turn you down for not wearing a mask (the tables are literally more than 6 feet apart so you’re not right up under anybody anyways) every single time we’ve came to this business we’ve always felt welcomed in like we were part of the family. We love this place and will ALWAYS come 45 minutes just to eat here. when I say we replaced ihop with brighter day cafe, I mean It. if you go to ihop , It could be dead empty in there and they still take 10 years to give you your food , in brighter day cafe , It feels like you’re waiting for 5 minutes. the food is always hot and delicious. I...

Ok, First they serve breakfast allll day!!! The cheese omlette was the bomb! I think it was 5 cheese! The French Toast amazing, Andy husband got a steak and cheese. They all were so well made and we got full! Good portions great pricing. Also I think it was the owner he was so nice to my middle school kid who was being a pain in the butt asking to try on a Reagan mask they had on display! They also have a pac man machine! They love the 80s and that was a cool retro vibe for me since I am an old bag of 43. Really cool vibe. There coffee is really good. My husband is a pain in the tush about coffee and he said it was amazing. Great pink lemonade too. The table was clean and they have great music. We can't wait to go again it's near my husband's work. They even gave my son free ice cream for playing the package man. I think the server was one of the owners, I'm not sure. She was a real sweet lady with an amazing personality. Love love this little...

Well, have to say was looking forward to this based on the reviews but... The joint is pretty cool, spartan but perfect as a downtown grille and hangout. Ordered the cheeseburger with linguica. In all fairness I did not specify a temp on the burger nor was I asked. It was over cooked and rubbery, compounded by the fact this really seemed to be a frozen burger ordered in bulk and not fresh ground beef. The cost would not be much more to go this route and the payoff would be well worth. Spouse ordered the cheese steak. A bit dry and not well presented. The breakfast menu looked good and would be willing to give that a try sometime. The owners were great. I just think they could benefit from better quality ingredients. At least as far as our experience, and we're pretty experienced in this area cooking for large groups. BUT, do visit and check it out. I...

Prices are quite good, and food was regular diner fair. It was ok. I was honestly really looking forward to this place, and the nice homey meal that people were talking about. Unfortunately the first thing you walk into are the pictures I have provided, which distract quite heavily from any sense of a welcoming atmosphere (at least to me). The strange dingy fluorescence was also fairly off putting, and I desperately wish Suffolk had another breakfast place that opens at 7 around here. Quite frankly disappointing, but I’m glad the anti-maskers have a community space to hang out, and that they don’t try to hide it.

Excellent breakfast at mid day, what a treat! Not your run of the mill food either; extremely well cooked fluffy scrambled eggs with bacon and hashbrowns with toast that is buttered and grilled. Now that's good food few can pass up and why would you? Good coffee to wash it all down with. Excellent service brings it and looks after you while you're there. The Cafe offers a full menu, but I love a great breakfast anytime of day. Located downtown Suffolk close to other 'named' restaurants the Cafe is well on the way to having a name all their own. Don't miss them.

I recently visited a charming mom-and-pop breakfast cafe that has quickly become my favorite spot. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming, with vintage and unique decor that adds to the cozy, free-spirited vibe of the place. It's a perfect blend of nostalgia and comfort. The food is not only delicious but also very affordable, making it a great choice for a satisfying meal without breaking the bank. Whether you're in for a hearty breakfast or just a quick coffee, this cafe offers a delightful experience that feels like a home away from home. Highly recommended!
