My sister was raving about this place and how good their food was so we decided after a long day to pop in for a bite to eat. Our waitress seemed very passive aggressive and lacked basic customer service skills. I asked her to tell us the difference in serving sizes with the lunch menue and the dinner seeing that they had the same items. Well she seemed annoyed that I asked that question. She said aggravatedly that it was half the amount. So my sister ordered the lunch and I ordered the dinner size. After what was about 40 mins later and no refill of glasses of water(thank goodness I carry water in my purse) a nice gentleman came to make sure we were ok. As he was assuring us the food was coming, our waitress was day dreaming looking out the window sipping her starbucks frappicino. When the food finally came ( I pray it was fresh) our proportion sizes were the same. We wanted to point that out to her and she first of all pretended not to see the same ration of food on each plate while blinking heavily. It Was right around then i noticed that perhaps she was angry about who ever did her eyebrows with what looked like a permanent marker. Very distracting and kind of Halloween like. I love a ghoul here and there but it's March for crying out loud. The taste was ok. I was afraid to eat it after her. We got some extra rice and called it a day. My sister wanted to know if she was happy and she answered with a blank face "yes" and that she was the only person there. I can understand that but she had no sense of urgency and also had time to drink her Starbucks frap and stare at the rain for quite some time. I spoke with a gentleman in Spanish and told him she had a una MALA ATITUDE y que le pasa con ella!? He laughed and walked away. I work with people and I would never give them that impression because they are the Very reason why I have a job. Not to mention I have a Mexican friend who gave me authentic recipes for Mexican food. The next day I cooked and gave my family the service and dedication that they deserved. I hope that lady does not get promoted but from my experience it's these negative attitudes that...
Read moreWe've been going to Bravo's for years, and I'm sad to say they are going down hill. The usually tasty food is now just blah. The chips were stale. The refried beans were so smoky, they were inedible. Even the usually yummy chipotle salsa had little flavor.
The prices have gone up (which is pretty common these days), but they are charging extra if you pay with a credit card. The worst part is that the bill arrives with the credit card prices already on it, so you end up tipping on the marked-up food. Receipt and menus pics are attached, but here are the differences between the menu prices and the prices on the bill:
Cheese Nachos: $8.75 / $9.10 Taco Salad: $9.75 / $10.14 Combo #12: $8.75 / $9.10 Drinks: $2.99 / $3.11
However, the WORST part of our visit was this: I ordered a lunch combo that included a quesadilla. The menu said cheese, beef, or chicken. I asked for a mushroom quesadilla instead (which I have done many times in the past), and I was told there would be an upcharge. WHAT?? I'm pretty sure mushrooms are cheaper than beef or chicken, but our server confirmed there was an upcharge! I just got cheese. :( After we ordered, I went and got a menu to check their normal prices for quesadillas. Mushroom, beef, and chicken are all the same price when ordered individually (picture of menu attached), so why the upcharge if the mushroom quesadilla is in a combo meal??
I asked our sever if I could see the manager, as I questioned the validity of the upcharge. She left and came back a few minutes later saying that the manager would not be in until 12:00 (it was around 11:25 at the time). I'm pretty sure she was lying because the older gentleman who is always there and whom I think owns the place seated us when we came in. Either she didn't even tell him we wanted to see him, or he was just hiding.
The whole visit was a...
Read moreHorrible would be an understatement. Ordered to go which I know is never a good experience when going a place such as this but we ordered a $50 meal for me my wife and son, fajitas for two and a combination dinner. She went and picked it up came home unloaded everything and realized they forgot to put the tortillas in the bag. The most important part of a fajita is that you have something to make a falita with. I know it’s a simple mistake on a busy night. So I call back up and explain and the child that answers says to me come back and I’ll have some fresh ones waiting... yes because I love to pay 30$ for a cold meal because your to incompetent to place a foil covered flour tortilla in a bag as part of your super complicated job. Than when I explained politely that we would appreciate the entire entre remade and she got upset and screamed all of it!. I replied would you rather me eat it now with my hands or later when it’s ice cold how is this my fault and was obviously getting angry at the level of incompetence and lack of caring for the major inconvenience of having to come back and she says to me. Make sure you bring the food with you when you come. As if I am trying to Score an extra meal through this elaborate plan to come up on a fajita meal and totally acrifice my nice comfy evening at the house watching tv to come up here and argue about this with you all. When I arrived they looked and “Verified” the food was there and than ordered the new one turned To me and said it will be ready in twenty minutes. Are you kidding me!??! Now I am sitting here with no offer for compensation no hey sorry about the mistake on your $50 order how about a free cheese dip just forget you and have a nice life. I would never come back if they became the last place on earth to eat Mexican this...
